Great places you have visited outside your country.
To many to mention, but Japan was amazing, the most polite, fascinating people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. smile

As I said before, Peru, 9 miles down river in the jungle. Spent about 3 weeks with a family of indigenous people cleansing & learning about myself, others, the universe, god, life & death.... Impossible to put in to words. Society could learn so much from the love that was expressed to us as complete strangers & my bond with Mother Earth reached another level.

I am a huge sucker for the Netherlands. The quaintness of all of it (besides Amsterdam) is so over the top yet somehow it works. And Amsterdam has the Van Gogh museum, quite possibly my favorite place on earth.

Honiara in the Solomon Islands - lovely place, great climate, not too many tourists yet and Guadalcanal has an amazing naval history from WWII.

Italy would have to be my favorite, blessed to have lived there as a teenager. I was old enough to travel on my own and see the amazing history at my own pace. It was the opportunity of a lifetime, and I was able to do it because my father was serving our country at the time.

Colombia...most amazing scenery I've ever come across and the people were fantastically friendly. Food was to die for as well!

I come from the UK have been very lucky and saw most of Europe and seen a lot of USA and Canada, Malaysia and Indonesia. But my favourite after Scotland is Thailand. I saw a lot of Thailand, but think Koh Samui and Krabi were stunning. It was interesting to read that Colombia is so nice and that and South America are now on my list.
