Wow - ouch!! We have removed several hundred thousand of these accounts and are now actively blocking them from signing up at all. We have been doing pretty much nothing else than dealing with this
Ok - well rest assured we have powerful tools in place to detect and block them and it should nto be anywhere near as much of an issue as it was say 1 - 2 weeks ago.
We could, and we are considering it - but we don't want to add additional friction to the signup process if we can avoid it. So we are using other less obtrusive methods to prevent them...
