This new panzy way of disciplining children with 'timeouts' would be non existant. It's what's wrong with this country and the world. Send a kid to their room where they watch tv, play XBOX, play with toys, etc... all that is a joke, kids today grow up with no sense.of. consequence for doing wrong, breaking rules, and acting out, so they just push boundaries and ugly characteristics the older they get further and further, because they were never given a lesson as to what should happen for doing wrong. Their is a big ripple effect I won't get into. I can't whipped with a hand, a super thick belt, or a switch that sometimes I'd have to go outside and pick myself and I'd it wasn't big enough another would be picked and i Would be worse off. I wasn't abused, I was taught how to act or not act, and it. Made me a very respectful person that knows. And thinks of. Consequences of something before I think about doing it.
