A merle Collie,!how beautiful, they are an ancient breed with traditionally great herding skills, thanks for posting : )

Beautiful looking dog in great shape, particularly love the 'shepherds lantern' the white tip to the tail : )

This one is the Australian Shepherd I was talking about on status. Still very young. The Aussie is very similar to the Collie and the breed originates from it, but the Shepherd will become a bit heavier and more muscular.

It must come from a collie background, every feature screams collie, beautiful animal, the classic merle has two different coloured eyes, which makes it look a bit daft...they are anything but daft, highly intelligent, great stock animals; )

What a cutie! Heterochromia is a common Australian Shepard trait. I've never had one, and don't know if I have the energy now, but I know they are beautiful, intelligent and good natured friends.

I know very little about dogs, but a beautiful looking animal nonetheless.

Austrailian Shepard. (Or at least half. Im thinking you AND TC may be right and that she/he has a bit of Collie in it as well) Red merle. Most AS's are blue. Hearty, friendly generally but can be protective of "family". Cunning and intelligent and adventurous. If they arent worked, they will go out and adventure on their own.

That, is one fantastic looking dog, I like merle's.

Again lol, this one is an Australian Shepherd. 100%. From a breeder of Australian Shepherds. Not a Border Collie. The Australian Shepherd breed was however, originated from the Collie, and if you put an adult Collie side-by-side with an Australian Shepherd, it will be difficult to tell them apart. But the Australian Shepherd becomes a bit bigger, more muscular, and the Border Collie is thought to remain better at herding animals than the Australian Shehperd. Now, if anyone insists on calling this dog anything else than an Australian Shepherd, you can go on right ahead. But it remains, simply, an Australian Shepherd. : )

beautiful dog...did you have to sacrifice your kitchen table?
13-Dec-22 22:30:52
Haha! The kitchen table is still intact, fortunately. Doggy played fetch with a stick in the field a bit but was more interested in frolicking and running around!
