Free version and photo approval

Hello moderator,

Request for clarification: Do all posted photos have to be approved by a moderator? Is it only a specificity of a free account, in order to secure the website?

If so, can you tell me the average approval time?

Not Moderator,
but all pics are screened by 3 mods before approved, i think,
approval time is due to mods being online
they approveon their free time,not being paid
