Don't let anyone tell you it tastes like chicken, it doesn't. It usually tastes more like the batter or breading it was prepared with. Turtle can be a bit stronger if they aren't cleaned out for a wee

I had a friend who had gator, someone said to him "it tastes like chicken, right?" he said "no, it tastes like gator. If it tasted like chicken I would have ordered chicken, chicken is cheaper"
