There is two speedways here in the west valley of arizona. Both were on the TV show pinks all out. The first one and biggest is Firebird raceway and the other, closer to me is Speedworld. Speedworld has a drag strip as well as a motocross track. Most saturdays you can drive your car right down the track for a small fee. You get timed and everything. Lots of cars, bikes, and trucks.

@ livin yeah I've seen both tracks never been to them, but the bikes I'm taking about run on dirt oval (Bull ring) 500cc Single cylinder, Alcohol burning with NO brakes. Bike weights about 185lbs thumbup1

I used to go to the Orange County Speedway all of the time. I will be dating myself when I mention of the greatest Speedway Motorcycle racer. I'm sure you don't know him or remember him. Bruce Penhall.

I was in my mid to late 20's and loved it! As the houses were built in the area, the speedway was considered too noisey, so they shut it down.

Much like they did with the Pomona, Ca. Speedway. Those were the days.

Tight they didn't shut down just moved to saturday night at CM. This season is over but will start again in 2013. Drop me a PM maybe we could meet there and just watch the race. Oh by the way greatest was Gene Woods and Mike Bast. But Bruce was pretty good too.

Freeways and highways are my race tracks.
I live in Houston Texas, we meet every night to race around our freeways and highways. Yes, we are considered outlaws and the police have a no-chase policy, so they try and trap us at meeting spots but we have enough police officers and lawyers who ride with us so we stay out of trouble. I'm 58, and I max my bike (CBR1000RR-R) every time we ride. My girlfriend is in her 20s and grew up with my daughters.
