Mathematics is the basic nature of the Universe in the sense that it connects to nature. The creation of the language we call mathematics needs to be in synchronization with the language of the physical world. A system to represent physical things, tables or chairs or flowers, is useful but not nearly as useful as mathematics because it is imprecise. Mathematics removes the ambiguity of reality and in so doing, is actually meta-physics. It has being and is as close as we can come to ultimate reality -- God. |
