My actual, real, legal name is 18; not Eighteen or anything like that. It is 18. Yes that is how I sign checks and it is on my driver's licence. Yes it is unusual. I am not a virgin. My name here is from song lyrics. I changed the number from 16 to 18 because of my name. I do not cam, give my email address, specific location. I do not give my phone number to anyone. No MSN, No YM, No Skype. That means I stay on NN period, no exceptions My taste runs toward the natural. For example I don't shave my body or drink alcohol or smoke. I believe being kind is very important in life. However, I also believe that being direct is necessary sometimes.

Tuesday, August 23, 2011, 3:33:07 AM- Thinking About Infinity
I only want to think about this issue now. It strikes me that the relationship of 0 to infinity can be contemplated only in a finite mindset. That means it cannot be contemplated at all. If you have 0 >>>>>>>>>>>>> ..................................... What is at the end? If it is a number, it is finite and clearly not infinity. But many, especially in the West, are entrenched with this teleological and linear thinking. That is where I am at right now.

Saturday, August 20, 2011, 4:23:05 AM- Science and God
The primary issue that has been discussed all along is whether mathematics is a system of structural possibilities or an inter-related grouping of Platonic Ideals of sorts. Or, to but it another way, is it a deductive system that is theoretically empirically verifiable or a weaving together of spiritual significance that provides a glimpse of an actual, but perfect Being? If it is the former, it is fallible. If it is the later it is omniscient. It is important to note that the divine importance of mathematics or, indeed, numbers themselves, does not imply that they are fixed or immutable. Neither does it imply that sets are finite. Quite the contrary. OK, your homework is to look up Fibonacci's Rabbits.

Friday, August 19, 2011, 12:32:49 AM- God and Geometry
Did human beings invent geometry? If they did, why does it say so much about the cosmos? If they didn't, where did it come from? All mathematics is ultimately derived from the physical world. They means it is real and speaks of the real. It means, indeed, that it speaks of ultimate reality. Nature, that framed us of four elements Warring within our breasts for regiment, Doth teach us all to have aspiring minds. Our souls, whose faculties can comprehend The wondrous architecture of the world And measure every wand’ring planet’s course, Still climbing after knowledge infinite And always moving as the restless spheres, Wills us to wear ourselves and never rest Until we reach the ripest fruit of all, That perfect bliss and sole felicity, The sweet fruition of an earthly crown. Wednesday, August 17, 2011, 12:29:43 AM- Of Virgins and the Number 18
There actually were vestal virgins and they are not just found in the song Whiter Shade of Pale. They were the keepers of the sacred flame in Vesta in ancient Rome. They were, in fact, virgins. The number of vestal virgins always totaled 18. There were six novices, six practicing priestesses and six tutors. If, by chance, a Vestal Virgin broke the vow of virginity, she were buried alive outside the city in a place reserved for that purpose. The horror of such a terrible fate usually kept the virgins from breaking their vow, but not always. Some broke it and suffered the fate of being buried while still alive. In the span of 1,000 years, there were not many, but we know exactly how many there were. Yes, as a matter of actual fact, precisely 18 broke the vow of virginity.

Thursday, August 11, 2011, 6:56:27 AM- Pi And Tau
I was asked in a previous blog whether I thought Pi or Tau was more important. I have a very simple answer. It satisfies me and I hope it satisfies you. Please look at the numbers A and B below: A: 3.14 B: 6.28 Of course you will recognize A as Pi. B is called Tau. One thing is immediately obvious. B is 2 times greater than A. Now that actually has meaning even though it is very obvious. Pi, which has been around a very long time, is precisely what gives meaning to Tau, which is relatively new. Therefore, we can say that any importance that Tau has derives from Pi. Another thing is that while Tau does make some things easier to do, most mathematicians and people working with numbers should know pi without a problem. I haven't checked everything myself, but even Tau lovers say that almost anything Pi can do, Tau can do. Did you notice the "almost" in that statement? So point number two is that Pi can do more than Tau, even if it is not much more. For these simple reasons, I am saying Pi is more important than Tau. Please note I did NOT say Tau is not important. All numbers. are.

The husband had just finished reading a new book "You Can Be The Man of Your House". He stormed to his wife in the kitchen & announced, "From now on you need to know that I'm the man of the house & my word is the 'LAW'. You will prepare me dinner tonight & when I'm done eating you will bring me dessert. After dinner, you are going to go upstairs with me & we will have the kind of sex that I want. Afterwards you're going to draw me a bath so I can relax. You will wash my back & towel me dry. Then you will massage my feet & hands. Then tomorrow guess who's gonna dress me & comb my hair?" The wife replied, "The fuckin funeral director would be my first guess...

Saturday, August 6, 2011, 4:17:00 AM- Tau and Typing
A couple of people asked me questions and I just wanted to give a brief answer. I did not manually type the numbers in the last blog. I used a calculator and then pasted them. The issue of Tau is very tricky. The question was, does it have importance and the answer is yes it does. All numbers have importance. The issue, however, is this in a nutshell: Does it have more importance than other numbers and specifically, is it more important than pi? Just for the record, tau is about 6.28 which is twice pi's approximately 3.14. I have been working with this number but have not come to a conclusion yet. I will go this far; those math enthusiasts who want to dump on and dismiss pi as wrong minded are, in my tentative research, mistaken. How mistaken I don't know yet. And how important tau is I don't know yet either. My shooting from the hip reaction is that tau is not nearly as important as some would make it out to be. But I will have to say more later. If you want to hear what tau sounds like -- YES! -- visit this link: xxxxxxxxxx OK, they won't let me put that link here. So what you want to do is just search YouTube for What Tau Sounds Like.

Friday, August 5, 2011, 5:06:23 AM- Numbers Are Meaningful
If you actually just glanced at my blog before last you will notice something about the ratios I am going to give you below. OK, first, look back at the Fibonacci sequence in my blogs or Google it. You will notice that the first numbers below adhere to Fibonacci. Should I tell you the cool part now because you won't look at all the numbers? The ratio of the numbers gets closer and closer to phi and phi is the Golden Ratio (someone in the previous blog noted that). And, as we shall see as we go along here, phi (that is the correct spelling) is very important to everyone. Now, just look at the sequence for me. OK? Ratio: 1/1=1 2/1=2 3/2=1.5 5/3=1.66666666666666666 8/5=1.6 13/8=1.625 21/13=1.61538461538461538 34/21=1.61904761904761904 55/34=1.61764705882352941 89/55=1.61818181818181818 144/89=1.61797752808988764 233/144=1.61805555555555555 377/233=1.61802575107296137 610/377=1.61803713527851458 987/610=1.6180327868852459 1597/987=1.61803444782168186 2584/1597=1.61803381340012523 4181/2584=1.61803405572755417 6765/4181=1.61803396316670652 10946/6765=1.61803399852180339 17711/10946=1.61803398501735793 28657/17711=1.61803399017559708 46368/28657=1.61803398820532505 75025/46368=1.618033988957902 121393/75025=1.61803398867044318 196418/121393=1.61803398878024268 317811/196418=1.618033988738303 514229/317811=1.61803398875432253 832040/514229=1.61803398874820362 1346269/832040=1.61803398875054083 2178309/1346269=1.6180339887496481 3524578/2178309=1.61803398874998909 5702887/3524578=1.61803398874985884 9227465/5702887=1.61803398874990859 14930352/9227465=1.61803398874988959 24157817/14930352=1.61803398874989685 39088169/24157817=1.61803398874989408 63245986/39088169=1.61803398874989514 102334155/63245986=1.61803398874989473 165580141/102334155=1.61803398874989489 267914296/165580141=1.61803398874989483 433494437/267914296=1.61803398874989485 701408733/433494437=1.61803398874989484 1134903170/701408733=1.61803398874989484 1836311903/1134903170=1.61803398874989484 2971215073/1836311903=1.61803398874989484 4807526976/2971215073=1.61803398874989484 7778742049/4807526976=1.61803398874989484 12586269025/7778742049=1.61803398874989484 20365011074/12586269025=1.61803398874989484 32951280099/20365011074=1.61803398874989484 53316291173/32951280099=1.61803398874989484 86267571272/53316291173=1.61803398874989484 139583862445/86267571272=1.61803398874989484 225851433717/139583862445=1.61803398874989484 365435296162/225851433717=1.61803398874989484 591286729879/365435296162=1.61803398874989484 956722026041/591286729879=1.61803398874989484 1548008755920/956722026041=1.61803398874989484 2504730781961/1548008755920=1.61803398874989484 4052739537881/2504730781961=1.61803398874989484 6557470319842/4052739537881=1.61803398874989484 10610209857723/6557470319842=1.61803398874989484 17167680177565/10610209857723=1.61803398874989484 27777890035288/17167680177565=1.61803398874989484 44945570212853/27777890035288=1.61803398874989484 72723460248141/44945570212853=1.61803398874989484 117669030460994/72723460248141=1.61803398874989484 190392490709135/117669030460994=1.61803398874989484 308061521170129/190392490709135=1.61803398874989484 498454011879264/308061521170129=1.61803398874989484 806515533049393/498454011879264=1.61803398874989484 1304969544928657/806515533049393=1.61803398874989484 2111485077978050/1304969544928657=1.61803398874989484 3416454622906707/2111485077978050=1.61803398874989484 5527939700884757/3416454622906707=1.61803398874989484 8944394323791464/5527939700884757=1.61803398874989484 14472334024676221/8944394323791464=1.61803398874989484 23416728348467685/14472334024676221=1.61803398874989484 37889062373143906/23416728348467685=1.61803398874989484 61305790721611591/37889062373143906=1.61803398874989484 99194853094755497/61305790721611591=1.61803398874989484 160500643816367088/99194853094755497=1.61803398874989484 259695496911122585/160500643816367088=1.61803398874989484 420196140727489673/259695496911122585=1.61803398874989484 679891637638612258/420196140727489673=1.61803398874989484 1100087778366101930/679891637638612258=1.61803398874989484 1779979416004714180/1100087778366101930=1.61803398874989484 2880067194370816110/1779979416004714180=1.61803398874989485 4660046610375530290/2880067194370816110=1.61803398874989484 7540113804746346400/4660046610375530290=1.61803398874989484 12200160415121876600/7540113804746346400=1.61803398874989483 19740274219868223000/12200160415121876600=1.61803398874989485 31940434634990099600/19740274219868223000=1.61803398874989484 51680708854858322600/31940434634990099600=1.61803398874989484 83621143489848422200/51680708854858322600=1.61803398874989484 135301852344706744000/83621143489848422200=1.61803398874989483 218922995834555166000/135301852344706744000=1.61803398874989485 354224848179261910000/218922995834555166000=1.61803398874989484 573147844013817076000/354224848179261910000=1.61803398874989484 927372692193078986000/573147844013817076000=1.61803398874989484 Is that cool or what?
