Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it. Friends are like balloons; once you let them go, you can't get them back.

Friday, December 14, 2007, 5:40:16 AM- Old man joke...
Two old guys are sitting in a bar when the first one says, "Ya know, when I was thirty and got a hard-on, I couldn't bend it, even using both hands. By the time I was forty, I could bend it about ten degrees if I tried really hard. By the time I was fifty, I could bend it about twenty degrees, no problem. I'm gonna be sixty next week, and now I can bend it in half with just one hand." "So," says the second drunk, "what's your point?" "Well, I'm just wondering how much stronger I'm gonna get!"

It is better to be told a hurtful truth than to be told a comforting lie. In the end, the truth will make its way out and will hurt much more than it ever had to. (So who is lying you or her??)

Friday, December 7, 2007, 4:12:16 AM- Sent to me by a friend..
The 'L I T T L E ' Things As you might know, the head of a company survived 9/11 because his son started kindergarten. Another fellow was alive because it was His turn to bring donuts. One woman was late because her Alarm clock didn't go off in time. One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike Because of an auto accident. One of them Missed his bus. One spilled food on her clothes and had to take Time to change. One's Car wouldn't start. One went back to Answer the telephone. One had a child that dawdled And didn't get ready as soon as he should have. One couldn't Get a taxi. The one that struck me was the man Who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, Took the various means to get to work But before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid. That is why he is alive today. Now when I am Stuck in traffic, Miss an elevator, Turn back to answer a ringing telephone . All the little things that annoy me. I think to myself, This is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment... Next time your morning seems to be Going wrong The children are slow getting dressed, You can't seem to find the car keys, You hit every traffic light, Don't get mad or frustrated; God is at work watching over you. May God continue to bless you With all those annoying little things And may you remember their possible purpose.

Thursday, December 6, 2007, 2:58:08 AM- Sykes 11 original rules
I found this article in today's newspaper. It made me think about some of today's kids and how they have such a sense of entitlement. These are things that most will have to just learn the hard way. 1. Life is not fair. Get used to it. 2. The real world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something before you feel good about yourself. 3. Sorry, you won't make $40,000 a year right out of high school. 4. If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss. 5. Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger-flipping; they called it opportunity. 6. If you screw up, you are responsible. It's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes. Learn from them. 7. Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way paying your bills, cleaning your room and listening to you tell them how idealistic you are. 8. Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. 9. Life is not divided into semesters, and you don't get summers off. 10. Television is not real life. In real life, people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs. 11. Be nice to nerds. You may end up working for them.
