I am finally back. The event went well but I am knackered. I reckon it'll take me a week to recover from it. All those people milling around for a whole week - and all the questions and long hours (you can't even escape the people in the evenings). I am permanently smiling through the force of customer service habit, but it'll hopefully wear off soon!

I came back home late on Friday night to find visitors there but was so brain dead that I really didn't mind. I just worried that I wouldn't be particularly sparkling company - but I wasn't too bad.

Mr McB's little grandson and his parents stayed with us overnight. I must admit, I am not great with kids. I've never had to have much to do with them so I never really know what to say to them or do with them, but he was ok. I didn't have to do anything too kiddyfied and he was pretty well behaved lol

Hope to take some new pics soon but at this moment in time, don't even have the strength to get my camera out! Am off for another little sleep....zzzzz

I may not be around much for a week as have to go across the country and run a large event. This is my huge event of the year and though I will be taking my laptop, may not have much chance to catch up on the blogs etc.

PS I passed my course - had confirmation today so am off with a happy heart. All that pain was worth it!

A class of primary children started a class project to make a plant pot to take home. The teacher wanted to have a plant in it that was easy to take care of, so it was decided to use cactus plants. The children were given greenware pottery in the style of a clown plant pot. They painted them with glaze and had them professionally fired at a class outing so they could see the process.

It was great fun. They planted the cactus seeds in the finished planters and they grew nicely. Unfortunately, however, they were not allowed to take them home. The cactus plants were removed, replaced with a small ivy plant, and the children were then allowed to take them home. The teacher said cactus “seemed like a good idea at the time”...

I am not very superstituous but wonder if my luck will be bad or good today (I wonder about that every day though!).

In great British weather obsessed tradition... it's a bit hot here today! (I am never satisfied with the weather). I mean, I just got in from work, it's 7.30pm and it's hot.

That isn't fair!

Can't it be hot on the weekend when I am not working...? I've had to put my big fan on full blast.

As Mr McB is away working this evening and my sexual bits are incapacitated, I am going to sensibly watch TV this evening and not perve.

I am actually going to watch an old (1977) horror flick called "Ruby" and eat a curry (also bizarrely nicknamed a "Ruby" in Cockney rhyming slang). The last time I saw this film I was probably around 12 years old and it was really scary and fired my imagination. I don't think it will be scary now I am old and hardened to horror, but am looking forward to it nonetheless! Hopefully it will take me back to my over imaginative childhood!

It's 9.30ish and I am looking out of the window and thinking about what a lovely morning it is.... but you know after a week of spending most of the time in work, I am just enjoying being inside my flat with Mr McB, my Wii, my DVD collection and my comfy sofa.

I feel a DVD day coming on - I dunno why but I fancy watching Helter Skelter and eating pizza! I can always open some windows wide and let air in that way.

I've heard that the sun is just bad for you anyway ....

Ahead is a weekend of rest and hopefully some fun with Mr McB. I have neglected him lately!

I am project managing a huge event, running in a couple of weeks so have been at work a lot (even when at home!). I have been way way too tired to even consider full sex and have had to consult my schedule even if oral sex has been proposed!

Also today I have had my faith in people restored over and over.

You know, you humans aren't a bad old bunch Kisses to you all!

I can't believe I haven't blogged for nearly a week - some people here do it at least once per day! I obviously don't have that exciting a life - or am not as good at making stuff up

I'd like to be able to say that a local mixed-sex footie team have moved in with us and are treating me to sexual favours on a daily basis, or perhaps that Mr McB and I are bonking a celebrity on the side, or even that I have contracted a rare tropical illness, the cure of which involves me having to take it up the arse 3 times a day... but no sorry, nothing that exciting for my blogland entry today!

Over the last week I have played with the Wii and bought a new TV (so much narrower and lighter than my old decrepit TV!). I also visited another country - went to work on the outskirts of Manchester for a couple of days, which was nice. I like Manchester though didn't see as much of the city this time around.

I finally bought my 2 new pairs of shoes today too (have been splashing out, I tell you!).

I now need a couple of months doing nothing to catch up on my finances from spending out on shoes and gadgets! (is this my new habit now the nicotene has gone?)

Was my second day off thanks to HRH! Bought my work suit (yes boring) and didn't unfortunately get any shoes (boo...hiss!) - just didn't see any I liked today.

What I did buy though was a Wii. It's part Mr McB's birthday pressie and part general treat for us. We've wanted one for ages but they've been pretty hard to get in the UK.

We've both been waving our arms about all afternoon in the name of golf, tennis, boxing and bowling. I may never leave the house again!

Have some work to do before I go back tomorrow - it's sitting there looking at me and all I want to do is play tennis
