Alright, I've been talking to this guy for a few days. He has a somewhat controversial job, which he did not try to keep secret in any way, shape, or form. In fact he brought up his job in almost every message he sent me. So, Jedi, you are no doubt asking, what is his job?!?! He is an accountant for a an adult toy store, oh and he also demonstrates the products.

Okay, he asked me if I thought it was a big deal and I said it's not, as long as he has a decent personality I couldn't care less what he does for a living. But he just would NOT STOP "subtly" bringing up the fact that he sticks things in his ass for a living. Like seriously. He told me his job takes a lot of practice and I made a joke about crunching numbers even though I totally knew he was talking about demonstrating the toys. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and just re-directed the conversation but eventually he asked if I had skype. To which I replied that I do but I'm not interesting in going on cam with him and would prefer to continue to interact via the dating site. Then he said, and I kid you not, "you don't have to go on cam, I just thought you might like to see what I do for a living". LO-fucking-L! I was like "No, I don't. If I did I would have asked".

I was so tempted to send him to NN but honestly I didn't want him to ask me if I have pics on the site and then blah blah blah. Another one down... haha.

Speaking of one down, last week I lost another pound! My goal has been to lose 2 per week but I'm happy with one. I kind of let exercising go down the toilet last week, this week I'm a little more on track with the exercising but not with the nutrition lol. It takes time to get to that balance but so far I'm kicking ass .

The guy I had fun with on New Years Day is just looking for fun and we both agreed on that before our ... fun, but I want something more than just fun. I want someone I can call on my way home from work and talk to about my day, someone who wants to tell me about their day, someone I can try new things with, someone I can go out and do fun things with, someone I can come home to and snuggle... well you get the picture. So, on Tuesday I decided to sign myself up for an online dating profile again. *facepalm* I feel like writing: "I'll be at _______ bookstore/pub/coffee shop/cool location on these days ______ between these times ________. Come talk to me and if I think you're cool, I'll ask you out." Honestly there are so many guys who think if you message them back once or twice you're ready to just hop on over to their place to "watch some movies in the rain" while their real intention is to get into your pants. Hmmm ever hear of internet safety guys? I'm not going to go to some guys place that I've never even met. Plus so many of the ones I've talked to are horrible conversationalists! This is how the average conversation goes:

Him- Hi/hey/hello there (often misspelled).

Me- Hello, how are you?

Him- Responds to my question without asking anything about me or otherwise contributing to the conversation.

Me- Pretend that he at least asked my question back to me and ask another, trying to get a conversation going.

Him- Responds to my question without asking anything about me or otherwise contributing to the conversation.

Me- Give it one last stab.

Him- Epic fail.

Me- Le ignore.

Yep. Internet dating is the worst but I don't even know how to not internet date, you know what I mean? I feel like I'm too shy to ask guys out regularly and I've never been asked out regularly except by really shady douche bags who try to use manipulation to get girls to give them their numbers. My job is within an all women's organization so that's not going any where. I'm going to apply to volunteer in my local hospital, maybe I'll meet someone who is also passionate about helping others? A girl can dream! Blog over.

Well my New Years Eve was actually pretty tame, and very clothed! I worked 10 hours then went home and drank a couple of glasses of wine with a couple of close friends while we watched a movie. This is the first year I can remember where I'm not just waiting for the day to end. The first year that I don't want to just forget the year gone by and start over in the new year. Don't get me wrong, I'm not clinging to 2013 by any means but I don't feel that sense of ... regret I guess. I don't feel like the year was miserable or wasteful or that it just needs to end.
