So are things feeling a littler faster around here now? Seems so from where I am sitting!

It doesn't seem that long ago that we flicked the switch on and saw people take to the site like ducks to water!

Seven years, a very long time for a site to exist in cybersapce, and whether good or bad, we are existing in pretty much the same way (functionally) as we were back on day one.

This past year has seen the dramatic rise of competition for eyeballs in terms of Twitter, Facebook and all the billion "tube" sites out there. Despite this, we still remain with the same audience size, and while growth would have been good, we are content to not be a shrinking violet in the universe of social networking sites.

After all, NN isn't porn site, while we all find the place in pursuit of porn, once here, we realize that this is a very real social network of great people with an open mind to the human body and sexuality.

Thank you to all our members, especially those that have been with us since 2002/3. A very big thank you also to our moderators, who tirelessly support the site in a mostly unseen way by keeping out undesirable users & content.

The future? Well this month we have some fun things planned to celebrate the birthday & some exciting new features that are in development as we speak. Sometime next month we will also be moving on to (over 40) brand new servers. This will mean even faster speeds for you.

What ever camp you are in there is no denying that it has a huge following. In a bid to understand it a little more, I have set up a Twitter account to try it out.

Not sure what I am going to post there but that is part of the fun.

Who knows, once we understand it a little more we may look at integrating some of it's features into the site.

hmmm, did NOONE notice the changes to the Profiles area?

Seems not.

As screens are getting bigger, or more correctly higher resolutions, I was finding myself squinting more and more around here. So I "up-sized" a the place. Back in 2002 when a lot of the site was built the typical screen res was 1024x768 now a days the avg is more like 1280x800
