So Christmas is a wonderful holiday, mostly love and joy and happiness. This year for Howlin and I has been we will say LONG, so many things he and I have fought and twisted and turned and did our best to over come. In the long run, I believe that we can look back at this past year and take a deep breath and realize "Hey! We made it!" because we did what we could and let everything else fall into place.

This Christmas was beautiful, It wasn't about the gifts, the decorations, the food,.. It was about being together, smiling and being happy because things are to the point were we know our plan, we are doing our plan and finally things are going in the best direction for our lives together. I sat down at my table today and enjoyed a dinner with my wonderful man, his mother and myself. We were visited by his nephew and enjoyed a few laughs and he went on his way to his family. What more can I ask for, for myself and on Christmas, than to be loved so deeply by the greatest man, have my fathers side of my family finally IN my life, and know that everything is going well. I'd say it's been the best day all year. I can not wait for next year! I hope everyone else had a beautiful Christmas, and I hope that 2014 brings you joy, laughter, faith, courage, wisdom and everything in between,.. be merry beautiful NN world.

LOL so I made my first gingerbread house this year, and it was awesome! ... well today it doesn't look so awesome! hehehe It's all good though at least it's being enjoyed!... hope it doesn't rain though, the ginger bread man's home is gonna get wet!

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope that today you are able to enjoy your day with your families, and have a wonderful dinner talking about Christmas pasts and memories throughout the year.

I also hope that you take the time to pray for our military men and women that were unable to make it home for Christmas to their families. Pray they are safe and are enjoying a warm meal for Christmas day. Pray that their families are well on this Christmas day and every day between.

Here it is. December 24th. Christmas eve. I was able to sleep in with my hillbilly beside me all snuggled up under the covers, un knowing that the snow was coming down outside the dogs were silent and everything was just peaceful.

I woke this morning and got a few errands done that needed to be done. I picked up a couple things for my hillbilly while I was out, just little "I was thinking of you" things Now I am sitting here with the Christmas tree, my animals (babies) Everything I need to start Christmas dinner tonight for tomorrow thinking about how I want to cook the Ham etc, and watching the beautiful big snow flakes fall to the ground. Every single one different and unique every single one equally beautiful. I can't wait for tomorrow, the dinner the smiles the laughter It's going to be a beautiful day!

Today I went to the doctors, and while I was there, I finally picked him up a very special gift that I have been wanting to get for him for Christmas. After all the place was just up the road from the Doc's. Christmas use to be something big and grand for my family, many traditions that of course have now changed. I have my own that I have created with the hillbilly. A real Christmas tree every year, this year we got one from my home state of North Carolina. decorating it, but not over doing it, Ham dinner with taters and veggies and rolls and later a few desserts. The best tradition is adding that one new decoration to the Christmas tree each year I am grateful for the way that my life is going, and grateful for the peace that I have found. I hope that I get to stay in Howlins life, at least for the rest of my life. I pray that we get to continue celebrating each holiday every year and keep having many reasons to be thankful. I have him for Christmas, and all I can ever want is to stay "The one" for him for the rest of my lifetime. The gifts are just items, the thought behind them are what makes them special, above all else the gifts don't matter as much, as getting to be together on this holiday.

I hope that you all have someone you love to spend Christmas with.

Three more days until Christmas! Is everyone ready? Did you get all the presents wrapped and ready to be put under the tree? Did you all find that something special for those special loved ones? I know I did, and I can't wait till they get to open them!! I don't have patience when it comes to Christmas, I always want them to open them sooner!! I know I know it's not as much fun so I wait! BUT I wish I didn't have to! Anyway, I hope that everyone is ready, and that everyone is doing well as we get closer to these holidays!

I get to see my dad AGAIN for New Years, which of course is awesome, we finally get to build a relationship that we should have had many, many, many years ago but, it doesn't matter because at least we get to now!

So today howlin and I finally had a day to go out and do stuff! AWESOME! So we measured and did some figures, then went to Lowes and Home Depot and looked at ALL sorts of stuff, paints, borders, siding, floor boards, and flooring etc etc,.. I know some people are probably saying... "WTF, you call that fun?" but yeah it was awesome. Cruised around the store for a bit bought some stuff, had an awesome lunch, and starbucks coffee! Well we were on the way home and the Christmas lights OMG were awesome, I love them, I saw one house when we were almost home that I just had to share, it's the perfect amount and type of decoration I think, not TO overboard, but i'm sure the power bill would disagree! LOL

But it is very beautiful, now I'm going to make a ginger bread house that howlin got for me! *such a happy girl*

Well busy, busy day! Tomorrow I have a lot of shopping to do, well looking anyway, paints, borders, etc etc. I can't wait! I'm excited!!!!!! Not that you can tell right? Lol hope all is well in the land of NN blogs and everywhere else!

Tonight was a fairly easy night for dinner, but it was awesome still!

I just got out an egg, some flour, and some seasons. Put the seasons in the flour and dipped pork chops in the egg, coated it in the floor and fried it in some butter YUM, had some corn and mashed potatoes to go with it and dinner was served!

Sometimes it's the little things that make the day, especially when your belly is full, ya got awesome people around you and beautiful Christmas scenery! Now all I have to do is relax float around online for a bit before jumping on the treadmill for a run! Life is good!!

So today Hillbilly sold the country house. We have been thinking about it for a bit and he finally did it today so this means we are looking for a new place!

A nice new place to work on together and make OURS the way that we want to do it. It's kind of hard though because he tells me "Pick out what you like." and I'm thinking uhhhh heck I don't know what to do,.. or think, heck I've never bought a place before! So I guess I'm going to have to get a little bit picky, and yet keep myself thinking about what I'm picking and the price. Look at what I'm getting for the money! I't does however make me firggen excited! It's a pretty big step for us, and means a lot to me to know that I get to play a part in what we get, and how we turn it into a "home",.. or should I say "The hillbilly home" lol The thought of having this project together just means a lot to me, and I can't wait to take that step in getting the new place and tweaking it to the way that we want it!

Yeah, I'm a giddy woman. I'm also a woman on a mission to find this perfect place and get my hands dirty! *big giggly grin*
