Monday, December 19, 2005, 5:12:52 AM- Cory had his total knee replacement surgery...now the fun starts........
Cory had his surgery on the 15th and it went well. He has quite a time with the pain after the surgery and then he developed muscle spasms the day after. This was at the time the most painful part of it. There was nothing he or I could do to make them go away. After about 9 hours the nurse was able to get him some relief with the aid of muscle relaxers and pain meds. They allowed him to come home Saturday afternoon, which as you can imagine was quite a feat. After he was safely loaded into the rear seat of the car we were off and on our way. The doctor had neglected to give me the scripts to get the wheel chair and the walker for him in time ( as in before the weekend hits and the places that you can get them at are closed). So with that at hand, I was able to find a pharmacy that would get us the walker and so I settled with the fact that it would have to do and that Monday the wheel chair can be gotten. It took a lot of effort on his part to get into the house, but knowing that the couch was there and that he was home in good hands to start the healing, he mustered up the strength and made his way in. We had decided that we would just stay down on the hide-a-bed and that we would make do. That didn't work too well and so he spent the night going between the couch and the chair in the living room. Of course he has to have help and so I was up with him with all the transitions he needed and all the other things that we take for granted when we are not in pain and are able to move freely. After many time of apologizing and me jumping his ass and telling him not to be sorry that I am his wife and that it is my place to help him be as comfy as possible, he decided that upstairs in the bed was the best place and that he was GOING to get up them. So much to my surprise and relief, he made it up the stairs with me steadying him. In to the bedroom and into bed. He was settled and he was able to get about 3 hours of sleep, this was the first true sleep since the deep sleep of surgery. This evening is very difficult for him, he has a lot of pain. Almost impossible to get comfy and seems that about every 45 min he has to move. I feel so bad for him and that there is not a lot I can do for him. I support him and help him to therapy. Ice, getting things he needs, emotional support are about the limits I have. He does have some decent pain management meds, but he wants to use as little of them as possible. We both knew that this was going to be a VERY difficult thing for some time and that the commitment to it was going to be on both of us. I am so very proud of him and how he is doing and I know it has to get better. He really is doing well and doing all the things he is supposed to do. They are optimistic that he will have a good prognosis and that he will be able to return to some form of beneficial work in the future. We are not doing anything for the holidays. Money is so darn thin, I think a spider web is thicker! But we are fine and we will make it as always.Thankfully the kids are so very understanding and they know that we are just not able to do gifts right now. They are both very grown up and I am so proud of them as well. We hope you all have a safe and happy holiday and that the new year brings you joy. All our love, Cory & Margaret

Saturday, October 29, 2005, 3:34:13 PM- Updates on whats new with us....................................
Just a quick note to you all to let you know what all is going on with us. Cory had started school this last June. He was into the 3rd week of the Fall quarter and his knee was giving out and he was having several times where he has been close to falling. The doctor had put him on Oxycotin but it is a med that is not covered on our insurance, so it was switched to a very high dose Percocet. Since all that happend, he has had to take a medical leave from school.Since all this has happened, they have FINALLY approved him for knee replacement surgery. He will go in on the 15th of December and have it done. Money is stretched beyond anything it has been in a long time, so we will not be doing any traveling until after the first of the year. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and especially on the 15th. It is very much appreciated. I will be home with him from the 15th thru the 20th. By then he should be up and around a bit more. The girls will be home on Holiday break from school, so they will be with him for a few days while I am at work. I will keep you all posted as it happens and let you know the outcomes of it all. Nothing else really new here with us, the winter weather is on its way and it is damn cold. Guess i better snuggle with Cory while i can.... Thanks to you all and even though it is early, you all have a safe and happy holiday, All out love, Cory & Margaret

Sunday, October 23, 2005, 3:56:55 PM- Thought i was only going to hell to visit and then back...but got lost somewhere.....
This has been the month for hell on earth....So glad I got to the end of it and found my way here....so much has happened The doctors have changed Cory's medds for his knees so damn many times that i think the folks and Rite Aid are going to start a delivery program for us! At the prices of them they better to it for free and I better at least get a kiss too.......They have finally put in on the strongest Percocet that they have with a morphine booster and said off to the ortho with you and they HAVE to replace the knee...so as you can guess not knowing when that is...i have been molesting and riding him all i can....never know how long it will be before he will be back in service...(although I have to tell you that the 8 inch scar he has where he had his appendix removed is a bit of my fault...he all i did was go to see him to say i love you and make sure he was ok, not my fault he was horny and then my clothes accidentaly fell off....back to the hospital for some re bandaging and he healed) but seriously it can take some real recovery this time.....besides I didnt hear any complaing from him....not like i could have anyway with my voice... The puppies are grown and ready to go as of this monday so then i wont be up all hours of the night tending them...they are cute and bring good money but damn....... Cory has noticed that even tho i have been getting my allotment of pleasure that it is not the girl touch that i really need. So sometime in the NEAR future the kids are outta here so that we can have Shaughn and Pauline over for a molesting session.......Here there anywhere just so that there are no interuptions...I miss Pauline and the times we share....I thought she was gonna water the lawn yesterday and all I did was hug her bye.. I suppose we both would have except that we had pants on and it had to travel down the leg and then it was all soaked up by her sweat pants...<giggles> love ya baby!...... Just the usual life around here, so if you all here moans from the valley.......it is just us chior angels singing! Love to you all. Mar

Sunday, October 2, 2005, 3:19:05 PM- Yet another day in paradise...............................
Well last night was one of those nights that i wish i had just hung myself for even thinking anything was a good idea.... things to remember: 1) When you are invited to a bday party for a 1 year old simply say "sorry I cant make it" and send a gift. Now this is even if they are like family...pary at your house is not a good idea... Results: You get a mess in a house that you busted your ass to clean...IE. Chocolate cake all over the floor, table, curtains. anywhere a one year old can find to put it. 2) also remember that when above mentioned event occurs that the other 4 kids this person has had will also be here, not a good thing, they all whine and never stop and nothing is good enough for them. Results: HEADACHE 3) the cute little puppy you once had, turns into a crazed puking wild animal from eating all the cake off the floor. You are simply too busy trying to keep it to a minimum that you forget about the dog and he suffers with you. Thank goodness it is a flavored cake and not the real chocolate. Results: Dog miserable you miserable. 4)To be nice your husband takes this persons 3 oldest boys 14,9,3 fishing to give you some sanity for a bit before you cook dinner to feed them and kindly kick them out the door. Results: You get in your car to see that the three boys who were in the back seat of your 6 month old car were kind enough to put their extra muddy feet all over the back seat as well as the backs of the front seats. 5) After all is gone and you are left in peace at your home that you have once again cleaned at 9:30 at night. You decide that today was a really rough day and you really are hurting. Time to head upstairs and to take some pills and sit in the massage chair. Results: You sit for your usual 15 minutes to no avail and decide it is time for another pill. After taking the pill you decide to lay in bed with the man of your life(this coming March will be 19 years!) and see what is on tv...nothing so we decide to watch a movie that was brought to us by the above mentioned people. Supposed to be a good one, but knowing them as i do, i have my reservations....Instinct leads me on the right path and it is a low budget not even a good kids movie. But I have to tell you that after the day as it was and feeling as I did, It was all swept away when I laid down in bed with Cory and he spooned with me to sleep. That is the norm for us, but last night it was extra helpful in relaxing me. Didnt sleep a lot, but I did rest some.. Woke to a HEAVY rain today, guess the rest of the tomatoes will ripen in the house this season..Roof still pitter pattering in the buckets, I know what it must be like a few miles form here. Hoping you all had a good weekend and that the week brings you some joy, Kisses to you all, The Innocentone

Saturday, October 1, 2005, 12:54:28 AM- RAIN!!!!!!!!!
All this rain has let me know that one i am getting old and two, we share the leaky roof problem with slutsrus..... the only thing is we only have two leaks...but.......one is in the middle of the stairwell! We have no one to get on our roof as Cory is not able to and there is just no way in hell i am going to. The pitch on the roof is just way to much and so i guess we will have to hire someone to do it. hope everyone has a dry and great weekend...

Friday, September 30, 2005, 4:16:30 AM- How time flies...................and then the rain starts........
I have been so damn busy that i never seem to be able to make the time to get on here and do an update. I do make it on to read a few blogs tho....have to have the daily fix of NN<giggles> Been a really rough month for me, not really feeling the best and i have had to have quite a bit of dental work(yes it is all the years of neglect from no insurance) I had to have a root canal started on the 7th (have to wait for prior authorization for the whole deal). The 28th i had to go in to have a broken tooth fixed. well it was ok for a bit.........half way through the drilling the tooth came bakc to life so i had to have more shots. then after that was done and the filling was ready to go in, ill be damned if it wasnt wide awake again! so this time he gave me one of those up under the tooth shots that make you want to piss your pants........needless to say that from all the shots i didnt have feeling in my whole right side of my face til about 9:30pm last night and the appointment was at 2pm! I have to go back in the 4th of oct for the finishing of the root canal and the crown will have to wait till January. but in the mean time the 26th of oct, i will go in and have 3 little cavities fixed and i will be all done....I dont think that is too bad for not being to the dentist in about 17 years......... still having a lot of problems with my back despite the fact that my best girl and her guy got me the best massage pad there is<love you bunches baby> i think it is just the work i do. The tomatoe plant are still producing like fire and ill tell ya i love em. this weekend will be filled with homemade salsa for canning and homemade bread for the week. think i may have to sneak over to paulines for some hot peppers...maybe i can trade her the peppers for a jar or two of salsa<giggles> hope everyone has a good weekend... kisses to you all. Saturday, September 17, 2005, 4:17:49 AM- What a fabulous night!
Well as planned we met the birthday girl for dinner. Gawd was it good. This is a resturant that we had introduced them to some time ago and so it has become the place that we go to have good food with good friends. We thought it only appropriate to get a small cake for her so it was decided that a carrot cake was in order as that is a fav to us both...I also got my special GF a white/chocolate tulip filled with bavarian truffle cream topped with fresh strawberries. it was beautiful and maybe i can get her to take a pic of it while she is eating it and post that for us...maybe a naughty one Pauline? Hope you had a good Bday and that we see you again soon.... All our loves, The Innocentone

Friday, September 16, 2005, 3:22:57 AM- Have you ever wondered??????
Just sitting here wondering why some people have such a hard time letting others be happy....I cant figure it out really...i mean i wouldnt think of bitching about something Cory enjoyed simply because i wanted him to be unhappy...i strive to hard to make him happy.. Things have been pretty good really....Other than a root canal and mics other minor things its all good really... going to go to dinner with slutsrus friday night....really looking forward to it..i really love to spend time with them as they are so much like us...we get along fantastic and they enjoy many of the things that we do....good friends and good food... guess i am just really bummed about things going on and nothing really we can do but send good vibes their way and hope for the best........ Loves to all The Innocentone

Sunday, September 11, 2005, 4:31:37 PM- overcast with showers in the future.......
Looks like we are in for rain yet again today. Makes a rough day for me here, feeling poor anyway and the rain just doesnt help anything. Although when it is dark out and the rain is falling on the roof, I do love to lay and listen to it, it really is relaxing......Didnt get a whole lot of anything done yesterday. It seems that when I went to the dentist last week, I got a cold from the assistant who was working that had a cold so bad she has lost her voice.....Like she should have been at work anyway...but needless to say now i have it... Nothing on the agenda for today...just laying around and relaxing...The kids are going to paint their room today and give it a bit of their own style I will check in from time to time to see how it is going...... Hope everyone has a safe sunday...and i am saying a silent prayer for those who lost their lives 4 years ago on this tragic day....flags half staff and prayers are all we can offer to get the loved ones thru this day.. May there be peace on earth this day, The Innocentone
