I was sitting at the bar when I have a phone call. My help was needed because someone had a flat tire. So I put my drink on hold, drove over to the car and there was a flat tire. But the real reason I was called, nobody standing around knew how to lower the spare tire on the SUV. So I showed them where the plug is in the back, how to use part of the jack handle equipment to get to the mechanism, an lower the spare.
After the tire was changed, the flat tire has what appears to be a removable blade from a power jig-saw in it. What ????
Well - didn't have time to ask questions, had to rush back to the bar.
Back home I see we are now going to be inundated with more and more re-evaluation of the Zimmerman trial for who knows how long.
And being it is summertime with reruns, I think I'll cancel cable.

after a long weekend I'm back to relaxing again. Had a chance to catch up with the kids (most of them anyway). Too bad we only get together for holidays and whatever. They don't live that far away. I guess after retirement I just like to have my own life for a change.

Had a chance to catch up on car work. Didn't realize I had one headlight out for a week. Car looks good when it's clean.

Recently I was given a nice desk no one was using. It is very modern style, which I like. The desk is asymmetrical, meaning it is not just strait across. The problem is it is great for right handed people, but me being left it is awkward. So last night I flipped the desktop over. It took longer than I thought. This morning I feel more comfortable at the desk. Is it really more comfortable, or is it just in my head. LOL

I have been looking for a new vehicle. But right now my garage is very short. Guess what happened - my first two choices are too long for the garage. Very disappointing.

First - reading 12gagefan in her latest blog, I agree with her. Although I haven't developed any real strong friendships yet (a fault of mine) I enjoy the people on NN. They are very relaxing and comforting to me. A whole lot different than the old Yahoo chat rooms, where you got sucked into another war every week.
Second - this is summer, the longest days of the year for sunlight in the northern hemisphere. Why are they still playing pro-hockey at this time of year? More games, more TV residuals, higher ticket prices = all for more money to the owners, the players' agents, and finally the players who do all the work and take all the beatings.
Third - I'm not worried about the NSA, the IRS, or any other government group invading my privacy. It's Microsoft that bothers me, with this latest windows I'm sure they have my every key stroke, and whatever stroke when the cam is spying on me. And they will do it for profit.

Well - I found another porn video of someone I knew - or thought I did. After browsing around for a while on the porn site I discovered this person is in Europe; and me here in the states and never been to Europe. The funny thing is that this person looks exactly like the person I know. Is it really true, do we really have identical doubles in this world?

Today is not the day for a party, it is a day to remember our old friends who never came home defending this country. May they have everlasting peace.

... and I can see where that damn leak is in the roof.
