The countdown has started ,My Sis only has about 3 weeks left before her bundle of joy arrives!. All is going well but I am so bummed that I'm not down there with her. Yeah we talk a lot and she calls after every Dr appointment but not getting to see her and her belly Man it tugs at your heart! I was my friends Birthing coach for 2 of her children and It was INCREDIBLE! I remember both times driving home I was speechless being a part of something soo miraculous and Beautiful!

Then the following year I had my Son(natural)I always thought when the time came I would be with my Sis in the room assisting anyway I can. She asked me if we can talk on the phone during her delivery I said sure but I doubt she will want to talk, I'll be there... on the phone!

At least My Bro and Sis in law moved back. I don't think I could handle them all living down in Florida having Babies and me living up here! I think I would have suggested to Hubby we move too! lol Hahha that wouldn't have happened! (me move?? no way!!lol)

We have 4 more more months for my Brother's baby to bless our family, So between my Sister and then my Brother everything is going to be baby talk! Baby this Baby that! lol I just hope it doesn't spark something in me & Hubby to have another one!Hmm can I be guaranteed a girl?? lol just kidding!

In my yard was a magnificent tree, a white oak. I remember all of us climbing it as kids to sneak on our neighbor's garage.It was so huge we never made it far up the tree! Over the years you could see it was showing its age. Over the past 12 years or so our friend would prune the tree(his business treework)That helped it a bit,and the tree flourished the next year. But then a blizzard came and we lost a few big branches.The poor thing then gets hit by lighting 3 or 4 years ago and has been in major decline since. It was starting to rot at the trunk with fungus(someof the shrooms on the tree were beautiful at times) and now was leaning.With strong winds you could hear it creak and crackle. If it were to fall it would crush thru the back of my house or worse take down my neighbor's garage and the back of his house. It was now a danger and a great danger to even do the job.
To explain a bit the White Oak is in my small back yard(We have a huge yard on the side of house and extends into the woods)And to get to the tree My friend brings his huge buket truck and it barely fit in the neighbors drive way! The wall on my side was old and crumbly oops the truck took it down! lol it was such a tight squeeze. I can't even explain everything they had to do. It was amazing! Hoenstly noone wanted to touch this tree. One little mistake and my house.... We have quite a few friends and contacts in the tree buss and no matter what the price no one wanted the responsibility! at time I had to come in the house and then I would hear a loud thump and have to come running back out to see! lol Our friend was glad he and his crew got took down most of the top with out any mishaps. Some big logs would roll and tumble when they got lowered to the ground. But one huge one got away came crashing down bounced off a few logs and crashed into my back porch! OH No!!!

We thought the whole thing was going down! It was just a little porch not quite big enough to set a chair out, it took the column down like it was bowling! Crushed the stoop and all. Stop before it hits the door or house! Phew! Wow Silence from everyone! lol What a sight to see! Thank God noone got hurt.

But honestly it was so sad seeing the Tree that has been a part of my fondest childhood memories come to an end. And the way the flower bed wall that stood two feet high infront of the tree and side of my neighbors garage just came tumbling down! Which we knew that was going to happen because it was just flat rocks layered and moss growing out of crevices. It was almost like the rocks were tears flowing down into the debris. And no Im not high at the moment although ironically enough it is 4:20 as I now look at the clocK! perfect timing!!! lol

When they called it a day our friend took my Son up in the bucket truck I ddint know I was in the hosue and Hubby later told me its a good thing I was inside because they scaled the peak of my house in that foolish thing! He had asked how tall the tree was So they reach the peak of the roof and he tells my Son The tree was a bit taller than where we are now! OMG get my SOn down from there I would've screamed and made them all panick!

When the crew was loading the wood onto the truck I jumped on a log and flashed Hubby! heheh I wanted to post it with my blog but hah I forget how! lol And if I were to post it ohh nooo I'm wearing glasses! Dont know if I'm ready for that yet! LMAO Always have but mostly wore contacts(always) but Doc said give my eyes a rest from them for a bit.

Back to my Tree... all the life that was there. A birds nest, raccoons nest and countless carpenter ant colonies with all there mazes! The Great White Oak was around 225 years old! What a magnificent life for a tree in the city in my yard!
Now I need to plant a new tree.

Morning all. This week isn't so bad after all. Yes my dryer is still busted but it's getting fixed today. Yay! So much happening in Boston this week. The Harborfest is going on, It's a week long celebration all about Boston. Lots of walking depending on what you want to see. Yesterday we did Captain Kid's Treasure Hunt. Reading the map and clues I felt a bit ignorant to some of my City's history. I was embarrassed in front of my Son! Ha But we made it thru( Yeah some clues took me five times reading before I figured which building or landmark they were talking about) My Son loved it! We did the whole tourist thing. The State House, Old City Hall, Old North Church.The Freedom trail(part of it) Colonial dress up but then changed his mind my Son wanted to stay in his pirates getup! lol

Making our way thru Faneuil Hall street performers were all about. We love it there. Although sitting on the cobblestone isn't too comfy!Now off to a free show at the Aquarium. We really did a lot in one day and the heat was getting to us(no rain like they said we would have) Off to Christopher Columbus Park , Its beautiful on the waterfront with fountains for the kids. Yes I got a bit wet too! lol My Son asked if he could have his picture taken with the Statue of C.C. Walking over to it he says whats wrong with him where is is head? Oh No He was beheaded someone knocked his head off(I think 2 weeks ago)! I thought for sure the city(?)would have him repaired right away.

My Son wanted to go see the Mayor and ask why he didn't fix it yet! haha So cute he is! Sorry the Mayor is busy but we can write him a letter. OK as long as it's not considered schoolwork he said because after all this is his summer
vacation! Lmao

Today we are doing Maritime Boston. Along the wharfs and such, going aboard the Liberty for a sail. And a duck boat tour maybe!
Yes I left out all the dates and such for the history buffs of NN! I'm sorry. I didn't want to get the info wrong, everything is jumbled in my head from cramming it all in yesterday! lol

And to end this I ask if there was a certain Mets fan in town yesterday with his wife?? It was mentioned a few weeks ago that he may be coming to Boston to see the Mets@RedSox. I haven't heard from him since though. And yes it is hard to recognize someone from a pic..but he made me turn my head and bite my tongue as I said his name to myself! If My Hubby was there I would have been brave enough to do something to attract their attention!! But then again if it were him and he's with his wife We couldn't come right out and say "Hey it's Cowgirl & Hubby!" His Wife has no idea about NN! lol I wouldn't want to be approached if someone recognized me from here! We do have to respect each other from here!Unless maybe I knew they were coming to the city IDK I think it would feel awkward and arousing? hehhe I don't know! But anyways just wondering if that was the #1Met's fan I saw yesterday!! Sorry they lost against the RedSox! Yay Sox 12 wins in a row!!

So I guess this week is going to be like last week. Meaning something else is busted! Doing laundry and half way thru the dryer cycle I hear a noise. Hmmm It sounded like something was dripping maybe? Searching around my tiny laundry room I check the faucets and pipes. I cant find where it's coming from. Upon shutting the dryer off so I can hear it better, The noise stops. Turn it back on...there's the noise again! OK so it can't be water dripping that I'm hearing what is it? Nothing was in with the laundry to make that noise. Figures just as my maintenance plan expired!Hah
Hubby was awesome fixing the computer and replacing parts last week. But do I want him messing with the gas dryer? I think not! Sure I'll have him take a quick look at it when he get's home.Thinking that I should see if I can renew the maintenance plan! What to do with my laundry now? It's going to rain yet again today. At the moment it's cloudy no sunshine...oh well!

ON another note Im giving my friend a call to see if She wants to come over tonight. I'll have the house to myself for a few hours(doesn't happen often lol)I'll have the camera ready and charged....

Finally I am back online! YAY! After I wrote my blog last week my computer busted. We were trying to play COV and it kept kicking me out ,then the screen would freeze. I had to reboot..nothing but a smell of something melting!WTF Hubbs checked it out after dinner. He thought maybe it was the graphics card. Nothing more he could do that night so He would fix it the following day. But work ran late that day and we had to pack to get ready for our weekend. We were leaving the next day. Oh no NO computer before I leave?? I was going crazy. There were a zillion things I needed to do/check online before leaving! Of course I wanted to blog and chat but there was also My Son's end of the year tests he had/was supposed to do. I wanted all the ferry info for Martha'sVineyard, the latest weather update for the Cape & Islands and oh yeah how about printing out the directions!! lol Boy was I aggravated miserable even! I didn't want to go now! The rain hadn't let up and even though the weather man said it would miss much of the Cape and the Islands it would be cloudy. Something in the back of my mind told me he was wrong..considering everything else that had gone wrong!

So we leave and its a fairly nice day.Made great timing for the long drive no traffic over the bridge we were cruising! Just a few sprinkles. OK maybe this will be a great weekend after all. My Brother-in-law and Sis-in-law arrive with their 4 kids. The place is awesome where we stayed you can pitch a tent rent a cabin even rent a tee pee(spelling??) We had a camper(which was really cool considering all the rain we were about to get!) As the night wore on we got a roaring fire going. The kids were settled inside and we were enjoying drinks around the campfire when It started to rain like crazy! That ended our night! heheh

We still ventured to the Vineyard despite the rain.The ferry wasn't so bad. The kids loved being on the top deck of the boat luckily for us we were able to but some flimsy one size fits all rain ponchos! we looked funny I'm sure! Unfortunately we had to cut the day short. It was down pouring! As we walked around the streets were flooding so as cars passed we were getting splashed! Of course the kids loved it but we were drenched. Back on the boat oh man it was one rocky ride!
After that we decided enough is enough let's pack up and go home!
Back at home Saturday night I didn't dare ask Hubby to go get whatever he needed to fix my computer. lol Sunday morn I wake and my computer is gone! My Hubby took it to work to fix during his free time!(good thing I didn't "bitch" about it last night)
He had to replace the power supply unit. Yay my computer is back! I can't imagine what it would've cost if we had to have someone fix it. Luckily my Hubby knows what he's doing! lol

I have more to blog. ya know the stuff I wanted to share last week but it can wait til another day! I haven't responded to any messages from the past three weeks I need to play catch up. Sorry it's taking me so long.

Had a great time at the bbq on Saturday.The weather was incredible in the 90s! just like The invite was extended to a few of our friends as well So there was a nice crowd. Finally a beautiful weekend to enjoy, NO rain!! Heading to a barbeque today. Looking forward to going swimming and going down the waterslide.
