Happy Thanksgiving to all my Friends!  Many things I am thankful for in my life. I have not always been wise enough to see the things in my life be them thankful or scornful. But as I grow older and live life with more thought I see many in my life that make me thankful. I find that the objects I once thought of as important are still important, but not on the same level as the people in my life. Many thanks go to everyone that calls themselves my friend,both in my physical life and my NN life. And a special thanks go to those that find themselves closer to my heart. This is the final finish on that Franklin Chair I made. Black paint on the sides and 3 coats of Amber shellac on the seat and rails. Then 2 coats of finishing wax buffed. Thanks for watching.   | ||||||

And the Project is....... A Franklin Chair. Designed by Benjamin Franklin. Made for economy of space. These are plugs I drilled out of maple.  I did't get as many pics of the process as I thought I had. So here is the chair almost finished.  And now a shot of the chair as it tilts forward and becomes a step ladder!  A shot of it all sanded and with the plugs in.  Hope everyone enjoyed this project. I will put up a pic of the chair once the finish is applied. | ||||||

Started a new project. I have some knotty pine that I am going to use in this project. Some 1x6's and some 1x10's. These are the 1x10's.  Measure and cut to rough size.  Square up and edge to exact width. Prepare for glue up.  Glued up 3 short pieces next to one longer piece.  Oh did I forget to mention that I needed 2 of these? Well yes, I do need 2 of them.  Now I need something that looks kind of like this.....  I also need some other pieces to put this project together. That happen to look a little like these......  Now what could this thing be??? Any guesses?? More to follow.......... | ||||||
