henryv1598's blog post - Long time, no blog....

Wednesday, May 14, 2025, 9:36:40 PM
It's been a while since I've written anything here. With my ADHD, I'm pretty lousy at keeping consistent with anything. C'est la vie.

I removed a number of posts, so this is kind-of a fresh start.

Since I last blogged, I met a woman, married her, and we moved from Texas to New England (where we're both much happier). I've been through job changes, lost my mother, gained a niece and nephew, and lost about 75 lbs.

Nothing is ever perfect, but life is pretty good.

My wife is amazing. In July we'll have been together 10 years, and married for 5 in December. In all that time, we've never had a real fight or argument. Disagreements, yes, not seeing eye to eye on everything, yes, but never a real fight. We both know when to back down and nothing has ever been a big enough problem to cause any kind of impasse. For a while I worried that it was unhealthy, that all couples fight. But I've come to realize it's actually healthy. It's not that we are not facing any difficulties or disagreements we may have, we are just handling them without a need to turn it into anything dramatic. We don't agree on everything, but we do on the things that are important to us as a couple. This is the best and most healthy relationship I've ever had, and the same goes for her.

We actually met through an adult party on the beach near Galveston, Texas. A friend of mine had a FetLife group and threw parties a few times each summer for a while. At one party, in July 2025, I was standing around with a group of people and just talking. One guy in the group made a comment about needing to pour himself a dram of scotch to feed his Scottish blood. In an incredibly bad, Mel Gibson in Braveheart-inspired Scottish accent, I said "Just how much Scottish blood do you have in you?" This cute topless girl who was standing to my left, hearing the bad accent, immediately turned toward me with her hand out and said "Hi, I'm [name redacted]." As it turns out, we're both somewhat introverted. I was mostly there to help my friend out and help keep things organized (Ha! me? Organized????). So I ended up talking to this cute topless girl. I'd brought and set up one of my telescopes, and she was interested in looking through it. We ended up sitting together and talking nearly all night long. We went on a few dates, started getting kinda serious, and 5 years later we tied the knot.

Anyway... I ramble.... So, now she's part of this profile.

She's always considered herself bisexual, but has never had a chance to actually experience anything with another woman. We'd like to change that, but haven't really had much luck finding anyone. It doesn't help we're both somewhat introverted and lousy at meeting people. We've gone to a few events we found on FetLife, and one swingers club, but so far, nothing has come around. We're not looking for couples, not looking for her to play with another guy or me with another girl. We're looking for a girl for her, and preferably something that could be ongoing. We're not exactly looking for a unicorn: if this ever happens, it's about her, not me, and any involvement on my part other than being a spectator would be entirely up to my wife. But, we've yet to figure out how to find such a woman. If anyone is in New England and has any ideas, we'd be happy to hear them.

Anywhoo... I guess that's enough for now. smile

Congratulations. A great blog post.
I don't know you, but the way you write is very pleasant and unpretentious.
I really hope your wife finds a girlfriend.
