Ah, Fall. The leaves are turning, the air is crisp and cool. Soon it will be time to shut the windows, which is fortunate, because my drunken neighbors across the street are still screaming at each other at all hours. How will I sleep without my white noise (pun intended) background in the mornings and late at night? Quite peacefully, I assure you.  | ||

Some of the younger employees were getting complaints about hard water stains in the toilets they clean. I told them to pour about a half a cup of bleach in the bowl, scrub it with a brush, then let it sit for about a half an hour. When they then flush, pour a little bowl cleaner in and give the toilet a once over. It should be sparkling clean. An old timer told me that when I started 25 years ago. Old school still rules.  | ||

I had a good 3 day weekend: I turned off my alarm clock and slept as late as I wanted. I won a little cash in the lottery 2 days in a row. My sports teams all won. The weather was great. I cooked some good meals. Watched some good movies on the tube. Today it's back to reality, work wise. Only 3 more days to go to the next weekend. Positive vibes are ruling right now. | ||

I have Indigenous Day off today. It is still called Columbus Day in lots of places, but when history comes to light on what he did to the locals, it was time to change. Besides, we've had the misconception for years that he discovered what we now call the United States. He missed that by a bunch. Sometimes change is good. ~ | ||||||

Okay, last night I had dreams back to back: In the first, I was in a flooded building, putting my belongings (keys, phone, wallet & cigarettes) in a water tight bag because I had to go under water to reach the next room. In the second, I was naked & trying to cover up as I walked into a thrift store to get some clothes. The women who worked there new me and had the attitude of 'oh, not again!', before giving me some clothes I had stored in the back room. So I looked these up in on a dream site. The first dream is a sign of impending gain (one of those opposite meaning dreams). The second is your basic insecurity dream of a secret being discovered. Putting the two together, to me at least, would seem to mean I will have something good happen to me, but I'm insecure that people will find out. Only time will tell if they actually come true. ~ | ||

I have eaten this tasty treat my whole life. Just put a BIG spoonful of peanut butter in a bowl. Add syrup (I grew up using Karo light syrup, but now I use maple syrup), stir well. I use a couple of pieces of bread to sop up what I don't spoon into my mouth, washing it down with a glass of milk. YUMMY! | ||
