We received a couple of inches of snow this morning and the weather people here are predicting (I'm not kidding) 11 to 13 more inches of the white stuff.

I am NOT a big fan of shoveling or driving with snow.

Maybe, just maybe, I'll get a snow day on Tuesday.

One can hope!

Had another odd dream last night:

In the future, aliens kept invading the Earth until we developed (or stole) the technology to put up a defense shield around our planet.

One group was made out of wood (that's right) and they xxxxxxxxxx the whole planet to quit smoking. Of course, when people couldn't go longer than three days without smoking, those aliens had to leave for fear of catching fire.

Another group was made out of something like sugar and had to go because people kept trying to put them in their coffee.

The last was an alien race of nudists, who came here to breed with our women. They were shamed off the Earth because the men all had teeny cocks.

That's when I woke up laughing.

Only in my mind, eh?

13 straight days of sub-zero weather, with 7 more to come.

Oh! Snow coming Tuesday/Wednesday, too.

Someone told me about this, but said they couldn't remember where they read it, so for now this is only hearsay:

Supposedly a female college student, for her sociology class, spent a weekend posing as a prostitute. What I found unsettling was that she said the most embarrassing moments were when she asked her 'clients' to fill out a questionnaire after their 'sessions'.

THAT'S the most embarrassing part?

I'll give her points for originality and I hope her paper got her an 'A'.

I saw Tom hanks interviewed a while back.

Somehow the talk became about beauty in Hollywood.

Tom said that some people refuse to be photographed on what they term their 'bad side'.

To prove his point, he had the t.v. camera focus on him from three sides: straight on, his left side, then his right.

You could really see a difference.

Since that time, especially with women, when I'm watching them I try to see if I can find their 'bad side'.

It's really not that hard to see. I've seen some older work from women who are stars now and in their younger days they were indeed filmed or photographed on the side they wouldn't want you to see.

I find it amazing how just one simple turn of the head can present an almost completely different person.

Being an old man now, I can't seem to find a good side for me, but in my younger days I've noticed from old pics that photographers preferred my right side.

Sometimes the little things may amaze you...

if you know what to look for.

I pigged out tonight.

Two gigantic chicken breasts, homemade mashed potatoes, black eyed peas and cornbread, with cherry pie for dessert.

I cleaned up, took a little nap and waddled over to the computer.

I'm almost afraid to belch, because I'm full up to my eyes.

Not a bad problem to have.
