Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

I was amazed last night at work. I asked a lot of people the same question and no one knew the answer: Do you know what a church key is? It must be an age thing. Another bit of language lost.

You're leaving. It fills my heart with sadness and I'd beg you to stay, but I know there's no changing your mind. I'll miss you, beautiful.

My new walking shoes arrived today. Found an old thumb drive containing my pics from my old computer. The sun is shining. I received a very nice message in my inbox here. All in all, a nice start to my day!

Have you ever noticed that people no longer associated with something (a place, a person) are the first to criticize? Is it from bad experience, or jealousy? ?

I was recently re-aquainted with a lady I've known for over 35 years. She was 18 when we met. We had a brief fling, then I met her sister and was engaged to her briefly. No hurt feelings from the first young lady - she thought we would be a good match, so she set us up. The first sister now lives in Nashville, the second in a small town in Kentucky. I'm friends with both on Facebook and chat with each occasionally. The second sister is down to earth. The first? I always considered her to be "out there" a bit. She considered herself a White Witch in the old days, now she's just an artist. lol Yesterday she posted that she had lost her precious prescription sunglasses and was in a dither. She claims life is hardly worth being happy without them and asked for prayers (I'm not kidding) that she find them soon. My only comment was that, with the shape of the world today, she should consider herself lucky it's her number one worry. She didn't get it. Sometimes reality is more amusing than anything Hollywood can come up with. ~

What's your favorite food in the whole world? The food that makes your mouth water at just the mention of it? Just one thing, not a whole meal. Something you could eat every day? Mine is ham. ~

After a week of having to use an old computer (my other one fried), I'm back. New computer arrived to day. Hooked it up, downloaded my essentials (Anti virus, quicktime, itunes, etc.). Now I just need help to regain my documents, music and old photos from the last computer. I knew it was fried when I couldn't even sign on. A guy at work (engineer) says he knows how to recover those things. I'm going to ask him to write it all down for me tonight. There are some important things there that I really need! Fingers crossed. ~

Daylight Savings Time: You either love it or hate it. Having worked in a factory on second shift for the last 23 years, I hate it. It takes an hour later to start cooling down after sunset indoors. When I get home from work, it takes longer to cool my place down, too. Sure, you can play golf for an hour later. I've heard the argument from people who work days that it uses less electricity for lights, but having to run your air conditioning for an extra hour, in my opinion, has to off set any savings. If we were to use DST properly, we would use it in the winter, from November through March, when we're trying to save daylight. Staying light outside in the summer until almost 10:00pm is, to me, not natural. My rant is done. Move along, nothing else to see.
