Another 5 to 7 inches of snow coming today until early am Tomorrow.

What the weather people failed to mention until this morning was that there would be freezing rain before the snow.

I didn't realize that, while I was scraping about an inch of ice off of my car windshield and windows (for about an hour), my drunk neighbor would keep trying to help me by offering me the use of her expensive ice scraper and trying to give me the keys to her jeep (repeatedly) in case I needed to go somewhere.

I finally got her to go back inside before she got hypothermia. Took my car for a short drive to see how the roads were, then came back inside for a hot (two) cup of coffee.

My place is fully stocked with food, so no more reason to go out until Sunday, when I will probably have to dig out.

Gotta love winter in Indiana.

It was a gassy day, but I went to the grocery anyway.

I tried to only let them out on aisles where there weren't any other customers.

On a crowded aisle, I knew a big one was coming... couldn't help it.

I decided to let 'er rip and keep moving. Fortunately for me, it was a SBD (silent but deadly).

I briskly walked to the end of the aisle, but had to glance back.

The sight of several people almost gagging and looking at each other was priceless.

It's these little moments that keep me amused in public.

8.3" of snow last weekend.

Just saw the prediction for this coming Saturday: another 9" maybe.

I'm all stocked up with food and booze, just need to spray a little WD-40 on the snow shovel and I'm ready.

The scout's motto: BE PREPARED!

In the winter:

Around the house - Long johns, sweats and a robe.

Outdoors - Long johns, jeans, hoodie, winter coat (wool lined), baseball cap, boots and gloves.

Bedroom - Flannel sheets, 3 blankets, comforter, afghan. Sleep in flannel p.j.'s.

All bases covered.

After the snow, the temperature has tumbled down to the low twenties.

Chilly for a Monday, but at least the sun is shining.

I should hate it by now. 8.3" of snow yesterday. Cleaned the snow off of my car twice yesterday and once today.

Most people were driving fine for the conditions. The exceptions seemed to be the same people who didn't clean the snow off of their cars. And they probably wondered why no one could see their brake lights or turn signals. lol

Shoveled the sidewalks here twice, yesterday and again today.

Now I'm going to top off my tank with petrol and look at all of that snow.

I looked everywhere for that damned SD card, to no avail... I even went through the trash. Frustrated, I sat down at my computer. While waiting for a routine utility check, I happened to look at an old glass ashtray setting on the table next to my monitor. Peeking out from beneath a book of matches was an old SD card, still in it's plastic case. I don't even remember what it originally belonged to, but when I tried it out, it fit in my cam. Now I just need to charge the battery in the cam and I'm good to go!

Yes, there's a reason why you save things... you never know when it will pinch hit in an emergency.

Just purchased a new camcorder.

Somehow I've misplaced the SD card I need for it to function.

What next???
