It saddens me that so many people have used the internet to further their own agendas with so many lies that any time someone tries to speak the truth they are met with distrust and are accused of being liars.

Everything appears to be taken today on face value.

It's really too bad that people just want to be heard. I am a face to face kind of guy, so if you don't believe my words? I won't lose any sleep over your accusations. Pity. If you knew the real me, you'd know I have no hidden agenda. I speak the truth... unless I'm kidding around. Too bad people can't see my face when I'm writing to know the difference.

Glad I don't live in Flint, Michigan right now with their water situation.

20 years ago, our water here locally was rated the worst in the state. Within 5 years, it was rated one of the best!

Things change for the better sometimes... it just takes patience.

I saw something on Facebook today that made a lot of sense:

"I don't want to see another article about obesity in America until you can explain to me why a salad costs $7.00 and a burger only costs $1.00."

TRUTH!

Today marks the anniversary of a blizzard we had here in my state in 1978. 20 inches of snow fell in a matter of hours, and most of the state was shut down for a week or so.

Having lived through the blizzard, I have sincere empathy for those in the eastern part of the United States right now.

Mother Nature can truly humble us all.

I delivered a blog two weeks ago, where I discussed how some things have changed since I was a lad growing up in the Midwest. A couple of people took offense (which is their right) at what I had to write, even doubting what I was talking about.

Well, today I spent a while looking things up: Suicide rates are up over 50% since I was a child here in the U.S.A, obesity rates have nearly tripled to where almost 30 percent of children and over 30 percent of adults are now obese as well. Skin cancer rates are up, if only by an average of 1.9%... mostly in the Pacific Northwest.

Anyone can find these things out... simply type whatever you're looking for in your search engine. Most people won't, I just happen to be one of those people who want to have the facts there for me to read.

If you don't believe me, that's okay. I left out the sources and boring charts for you to do it for yourself.

The question is: ARE you curious?
