What a wild ride temperature-wise Friday was! It started out cloudy. Raining by the time I left for work. At first break it was sleeting, then at lunch the sun was shining. At last break, it had been snowing... about three inches! I remember a saying the late, great Harry Carey had: "If you don't like the weather here, stick around... it'll change in 15 minutes!" Ah, springtime in the Midwest.  | ||

... to be back. Saturday at 6:05 pm, the power went out. All day long the wind had been howling at 50 + mph, and a neighbor's tree (a very TALL pine) blew over into the power lines. I went out to dinner, then read by an oil lamp until 3:00 am. Today, with the sunlight, I cleaned my place, then read some more. Shortly after 2:00 pm, an outfit came by and cut down the tree. Within an hour, the electric company came by and had the power going by 4:25 pm. I really didn't miss not having my computer or not having a t.v. to watch... it was actually refreshingly relaxing. Now I'm back... did you miss me? lol | ||||||
