Just watched The Beatles' "Magical Mystery Tour" first broadcast on BBC in 1967. Thought I'd put up one of those "rarities" that no one knows. ![]()

1.) A small high school east of my hometown just won the state championship in baseball. I'm proud of them. They're the first school in my county to ever win the state in baseball. 2.) I'm not making this up: I read the obituaries today. A fellow named Leon Knigga passed away at age 75. Now THAT is a name I would have changed, had it been me! ![]()

The Greatest Generation survived the Great Depression, WWII and made this country a world power. Sadly, my generation (Baby Boomers) dropped the ball and sent us on a downward spiral. Honoring those who sacrificed for the country today, the 70th anniversary of D Day. ~

It's true what my Father told me long ago, that if you don't remind people every so often of how it used to be, then people will forget. When it comes to music, most people only know a group by their greatest hits albums. Like anything else historical, one must delve deeper than the surface to understand what something is all about. Here is a random example: True Beatles fans know the song well. People from that era at least heard it a few times... either at parties as part of the album, or on an FM station, when FM stations were cool and not top 40ish. So much has changed in the world. Taking a step back now and then helps to understand where we were once and where we are going. Later on brothers and sisters. ~Jake
