While on a grand scale this is the truth and we can all appreciate it, the minutae of online life doesn't lend itself to learning from others past mistakes making it possible in a relatively short amount of time to make the same mistakes over and over again.
Even the most "famous" in their corner of the internet, if they take a break for whatever reason are very quickly forgotten by all but a few who continue on for what ever reason but the probability of them coming back in the same capacity they had previously enjoyed is almost nil. Even if they do continue in the same space people change, ideals change and then it is natural to start to look back at what were the good old days.
The good old days on the internet are happening every day. There are always people who will find today and remember it fondly.
Where does this leave me? I am not sure, all I know is I have seen the rise and fall of several "dynasties"
Many I still know, some I think about fondly and then there is one who makes me wonder why he contacted me with the message he did.
I am left feeling like an object more than a human being and I don't like it.

Everyone has been going on about how warm it has been. All over North America.
I KNOW better, I said I knew better, I KNEW I knew better but I fell into her arms today. I was awash with warm air, melting snow, the sound of the creeks flowing fast. Mud, sunshine and hope.
The damn bitch got me.



Today 10c (50f) tonight -3c. Tomorrow another 15cms (6" of snow in the forecast.

For the second time this week flurries are battering the region. First it was the Groundhog Day storm. Now, another low is walloping southern Ontario with flakes.
