I hope everyone's V-day was a good one. Mine was really nice. I am so happy we decided to stay in instead of go out. My husband knew I was cooking dinner, but he didn't know all of the menu or anything else. I set the table with a nice tablecloth, cloth napkins, candles, nice china and my good silver. When he got home he was very surprised. It was fun to do something a little 'fancy' for my guys. I love to cook as well, so planning the meal was something I got lot of enjoyment out of. The only bummer was that our son has strep, so he wasn't feeling so good. The poor kid just got over a bad cold, now this. And by the end of evening my husband was complaining of a sore throat as well. Uh oh. We ended up going to bed early, but didn't do anything as he wasn't feeling good. I guess it is the time of year for people to get sick. It seems like every other day I get an exposure notice from my son's school for something. Young kids are just germ factories. So it wasn't a crazy exciting Valentine's Day, but more of a relaxing and low-key time. I kind of enjoyed just being at home and eating our posh meal by candlelight instead of running all over town with everyone else. We don't generally exchange V-day gifts, just usually cards but I did get my very favorite coconut bonbons and my hubby also got me several pair of Victoria's Secret panties!! I LOVE VS panties, they are my favorite. I was so excited to see that VS bag, I couldn't wait to see what was inside!! He picked out some cute ones, especially the ones with little cherries all over them. I can't wait to wear them So despite my son and hubby not feeling 100% V-day still turned out well, and we had a good timePuurrs to all, Currently listening to: Interpol "PDA" |
