It was such a pretty day today; perfect California spring weather. It is so welcome after the cold we have been having lately. I know I get zero sympathy from the folks in the Midwest & Eastcoast. I don't envy you guys at all. Snow?? What's THAT?!? I am a California girl, so I haven't a clue about snow. I don't like the cold, as I prefer to wear as little as possible (nothing if I am at home alone) so the cold really cramps my style, and since I keep the house at 70 degrees all winter, the gas & electric bills have been pretty high. I am glad summer is around the corner.

Today is President's Day, so like most everyone I went to the mall. I had to exchange something and pick up a birthday card. It was so fricking crowded, it took me about 15 minutes to find a parking spot. It took me longer to park than to run in to Bath & Bodyworks do my exchange and hit Target for a b-day card. I got that finished so I got back on the road to visit my good friend Sheryl as it was her birthday on the 15th. We hadn't had a chance to get together for her birthday, our schedules just hadn't meshed, and she had been having some really distressing shit going on, so I dropped by to cheer her up and give her her present. We hung out and talked for a while, she just was so depressed and down. I did my best to take her mind off of stuff for a bit. She loved her present and it was so nice to see her smile. I will take her out to lunch on Wednesday at our favorite Chinese place. Hopefully by that time she will be in less of a funk. I hate to see the people I love sad or hurting. It just pains me.

Speaking of pain, I am feeling it now. Cramps. Ugh. Looks like it is 'BJ Week' lol. My lower back just aches and aches. No matter how much tylenol I take, it doesn't seem to help. I need to find a hot water bottle. The heating pad I have sucks. I am thinking an old school hot water bottle would ease some of the pain a lot better. I will have to look for one tomorrow. Anyhow, sorry there was nothing exciting to talk about, just boring everyday stuff. Gonna go and see if I can't wheedle a back rub from my hubby now...
