I had a really bad day yesterday. I had to put one of my cats to sleep Monday afternoon. It was very heartbreaking and depressing. I just wasn't in the mood to do much but cry. He had been ill for a while, so I know that it was for the best, but it still doesn't make up for the pain of watching a pet you have loved and cared for for 12 years die in your arms. My pets are like my family, and when I lose one it takes a little piece of me away. My vet was understanding and let me take him home, despite the fact that it is illegal to bury a dead animal where I live. He was buried next to his grandfather who passed last year, in the backyard where the Day Lilies grow. Puurrs to all, Currently listening to: Peter Murphy "Cuts You Up" |
