Hubby and I went out to dinner and a movie with Rachelle and Mitch last night. They are the couple we were supposed to be fucking last night until Aunt flow made her surprise visit (bitch). We all decided to just go out and and have some non-sexy fun instead. That is the cool thing about "friends with benefits" there is more than just sex to be had.

Rachelle and I both wanted to see Hairspray and we ate at PF Chang's for dinner. The potstickers rocked! Hubby said they were the best he had ever had and I really loved the Kung Pao chicken; it was super spicy. It was a great dinner. We then we walked to the theatre for the movie. I really didn't know what to expect from it. I loved John Water's original production, it is one of my favorite movies. I have seen it like 20 times, so I was worried this new version would fall flat as re-makes often do. I was wrong. It was FUN.

Yes it was a lot different in some ways than the original version, but it was still great. I still can't get over Travolta as Edna Turnbladd, he was a pretty darn perfect replacement for the late, great Divine. Lots of cameos by other famous actors so if you go - pay attention and be prepared to laugh. If you want a very entertaining, 'feel good' movie that will make you smile then go see this movie. We had a lot of fun. I am soooo glad we opted for this instead of Sicko, I was so in the mood to laugh not leave the theatre depressed and angry.
