A funny in my life today:

Overheard from one clerk to another as I'm taking a cake order from a pain in the ass customer: "I'll help this guy, you go keep Kricket from jumping over the counter and beating that woman"


....my co-workers get me.

Someone I've known for years, someone I met here, threw us a lifeline. Our head's not above water yet, but at least we got our nose out and breathing.

He's always been there for me to talk to, and now this. I'll never be able to thank him enough. Thanks to everyone else as well, for putting up with our bad moods, keeping us occupied, giving us something fun and entertaining to do.

I know he sometime reads my blogs, so I'm hoping he sees this and realizes that even tho he insists "It's no big deal", it is. And I'm eternally grateful. you, sweets!

..........I'm really starting to hate life in general right now.

Had way too much stuff happening in our lives lately. Not sure when or if things will get back to "normal" but it's nice to see we were missed.

Saw Dr.Dumbass today. He was in the room for all of two minutes. Glanced at my x-rays for a mili-second, said I was healing well, still no surgery. I sucked it up and asked (begged) for painkillers. I really really hate my doctor. =(

And, yep...it's as painful as it looks, lol. I have to sleep sitting up, which after 3 days I'm somewhat getting used to. I generally get about 2-3 hours of shut eye before I try to roll over on it or do something to wake up the pain, which in turn wakes me up.



And now for something non-pain related... I think Vasilka is related to Gene Simmons...

Ugh. Seriously? Like I said in status yesterday, I'd ask if it could get any worse, but life sees that as a challenge rather than a question.

I fell down riding a scooter last night. Off to the ER we went. Yep, I broke a bone in my right arm. Saw the orthapedic surgeon today. I got lucky. He said where it broke, (the humerus, right below the ball/socket of my shoulder) I should have shattered the bone. As it is, it's a clean enough break that it shouldn't require surgery. Lucky me.

They're not putting a cast on, but its in an immobilizer. Can only take it off for showers. Weekly X-rays, and I'm out of work for 4 weeks. I have to be super careful, as I could do more damage if I don't keep it perfectly still.

Dum's been taking care of me quite well, other than making fun of me for falling down on a scooter. Poor guy has to put my hair up and help me get dressed. He don't know it yey, but he's going to be showering with me as well... I can't imagine trying to wash all this hair with one good arm... if you can call it good. I'M RIGHT HANDED!!!
