Friday, December 1, 2006, 7:08:38 PM- December 1, 2006
After a week a warm weather, then heavy rains, the snow came today. This was the first real snowstorm of the year. They were forcasting 6 to 12 inches but we only got about 4. It is a very wet and heavy snow, if it had been the fluffy stuff it probably would have been about 10 inches or so. I cleared my driveway, my elderly neighbor's driveway and the sidewalks on both sides of me. That's enough excersize for one day. Now it's lunch time, then I will soak in a hot tub and spend the rest of the day on the puter and in front of the tv.

Friday, November 17, 2006, 11:26:10 PM- Are people nuts?
The Sony Playstation 3 has hit the market and fights are breaking out between people waiting in line to buy them. People leaving the stores have been robbed at gunpoint and at least one person has been shot over it. I was just on ebay and saw one that just sold for $2900 (USD). I think the list price is only $500 or $600. I remember the Beanie Baby craze, some ppl paid incredible prices, hundreds of dollars, for an item that retails for $6. Now you can't give those things away.

Saturday, November 11, 2006, 6:12:28 PM- Veteran's Day
I am wishing a happy Veterans Day to everybody who served. The people who serve in the military makes great personal sacrafices. We can all honor the veterans regardless of our personal feelings for the politics that sometimes put them in harms way. The pic shown below is my dad, I don't know where it was taken but I think it could have been in France. My dad was in the Army medical corps. He told me the medical personal were often under fire from snipers. I don't know too much more, he rarely talked about it, except he served in most of Europe and northern Africa. I salute my dad, as well as everyone else who served.

Monday, November 6, 2006, 4:48:18 AM- A good Sunday
The weather was fairly nice today. The guy from the cable company finally showed up buried the cable (yup, on a Sunday). Then my brother came over with a couple of thick slabs of cow that I wrapped with bacon and then threw on the bbq. Cooked it perfectly; charred on the outside and just a little more than pink on the inside. It was yummy. Washed it down with some fine beer. All in all, it was a good way to spend a Sunday.

Thursday, November 2, 2006, 8:18:49 PM- Snow flurries
It's not winter yet and we have snow flurries already. Last winter was pretty dry but this summer and fall were pretty wet. And now it's colder than normal for this time of year. I think this winter will be cold and lots of snow. The pic is from 2 years ago.

Tuesday, October 31, 2006, 8:08:29 PM- Happy Halloween!
The cable company played a trick on me. Their records show the workman was at my house yesterday and buried the cable. My records show the cable is still sitting on the ground. I am ready for halloween; my pumpkins are set out on the front steps, windows are decorated, candy is at the ready, I have my pumpkin shirt on and there are a couple of pumpkin ales in the fridge.

Tuesday, October 31, 2006, 3:46:16 AM- The cable company
I had high speed internet and a TV connection installed on my puter about 2 months ago, from the cable company. The guy who installed it was a nice guy and took the time to show me how the thing works and how to use the media center in my new puter. He installed a new cable from the utility post to the house and left it laying on the yard and said someone would be here in a week to 10 days to bury it. 2 weeks went by and no one came by. But then we got heavy rains and the back part of the yard has been under water so I let the matter alone until last week. I called the cable company to inquire about it and learned they had no record of a need to bury a cable but they would be here today to do it. Well today was a beautiful day, felt like spring, but alas no one came by to bury the cable. I'm gonna have to get on the phone and rattle some cages tomorrow. The cable guy

Sunday, October 29, 2006, 1:36:41 AM- Saturday
It was kind of cold and very windy today and my front yard was covered with leaves. Being an organic gardener I look at the fallen leaves as gold to be harvested and put in the tomato beds. So that is what I did, I raked and gathered and put the leaves in the garden bed and pulled out my little tiller, which is a real work horse, and tilled all the leaves into the soil. I got dirty and cold, especially my ears. When i was done I thought it would be nice to turn those apples that are sitting on the buffet into a pie. So I put dinner on hold and made my pie. I am now enjoying a beer and waiting for that pie to cool down a bit so I can sample it. Not an exciting day but very pleasant; it is always nice to work in the yard and bake a pie.

Thursday, October 26, 2006, 1:32:07 AM- Ty and random thoughts
I want to thank everybody who wished me a happy aNNiversary. You guys are the bestest! Sometimes I think about the idea of posting naked pics of oneself on the internet for the world to see and I bust out laughing; my god why would anybody do that? Then I remember, I'm one of those ppl, lol. I like the fall gourds, pumpkins and winter squash. They not only taste good they are decorative as well. My brother told me I always have veggies sitting around so I should do some still life photos. Here's one of my pumpkins and stuff.
