From the start of the year I decided to go for a run 3 times a week. Its been going ok till this morning. I was jogging on a path through the woods when I was suddenly joined by about 50 girls who appeared from a adjoining path on a school cross country run! Now if I was sensible I would have stopped and let them run away into the distance before starting again, but my stupid male ego kicked in! I decided to speed up and try to put some distance between me and them .... big mistake! I managed to keep a short distance ahead but it was the longest 10 minutes of my life till there was an exit from the path and I could escape my agony lol! I could hear giggling behind me all the way - I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I spent 5 minutes lying on an old tree truck recovering. I'm not taking that route again and if it happens again I'm turning and running the other way. You live and learn ...... ouch! Have a good day - I'm going to have a lie down  |
