Odd yet delightfully intriguing. Morbid yet very very sweet. Sarcasm is part of who I am.....deal with it.

Thursday, August 15, 2013, 10:44:00 PM- We can do anything...if we put our minds to it.
The discussion during lunch was over what the sexes could or could not do. I sat and listened to the guys rambling on and on "men can do this and woman can't do this"...and vice versa. I spoke up and said that if someone puts their mind to something, they can do anything. One loon blurts out the typical "You can't pee and write your name in the snow" Me: If I put my mind to it and practice I could...and I wouldn't bet that I couldn't" For years men have been telling us women that we can't write our names in the snow. Well, I would agree that writing a name would be hard. We would have to write it one letter at a time and in intervals...lol BUT!....If women put their minds to it, they could damn well write 2 letter words during a few moves...words like; hi, oh, me...etc...etc. We may have to hover and bust a few moves like MC Hammer from side to side....but we could.....if we put our minds to it. So bite me!

This will put a smile on your face. Dog lover or not. Officer confronts pit bull, pit bull loves officer, all is right in the world Source: msnNOW.com 16 hrs ago [trending topic] policeman adopts pit bull When an officer responds to a "vicious dog" call and arrives to find a pit bull, things often don't turn out well. When Baltimore officer Dan Waskeiwicz showed up to just such a situation in May of 2012, the pit bull he encountered was anything but vicious. Waskeiwicz followed the dog into an alley, where it approached him, tail between its legs. The pit bull licked his pants. The officer gave him a bottle of water. And the love affair began. He bundled the sweetie into his squad car, took him to the shelter, and then decided to take him home. He named him Bo, and now the allegedly vicious dog lives with Waskeiwicz and his two other dogs. Happily, we hope, ever after. Good cop, good dog. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I love this! It was obvious that this officer knew the signs of a dog being submissive. The tail between the legs is a dead give away. I don't know about you, but this made me feel great! Both are cutie patooties!

Wednesday, August 14, 2013, 4:28:07 AM- Take a walk with me during my lunch.
On most days I do linger about and sit on a bench to watch the birds, squirrels, deer or ground hogs. Other days, when I want to clear my head, take a deep breath, meditate or mingle around with more of mother natures glory....I head on over to the jetty or the wharf. Today you are with me on the jetty. I am having some fish tacos with mango salsa. I hope you like this view of the wharf. It may be early, but the fog rolls in at different times of the day. It is rather quiet and serene. All we can hear are the seagulls. They are loud today. Evidently we are disturbing them...lol. Now is a good time to stroll on over to watch the divers take their lessons. Let's wave to them as we stroll along sipping our lemonade. The water up above may look peaceful, but underneath it is dangerous and churns like a washing machine. Now here is a site that is soooooo worth standing and watching. Even if we are late getting back to the office, the starfish are out and mingling about on the ocean boulders. They move faster than you think and I am always in awe of their colors. During the walk on the jetty, you can always count on the Sea Lions to put a smile on your face. This one was particularly funny. They are just too cute to ignore. He did a little swimming, jumped up on the boulder and posed. It's time to walk back on over to the facility. I hope that you enjoyed the fresh fish tacos and lemonade. The scenery was beautiful and I truly appreciated all of you being there with me.

Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 8:58:37 PM- Sister T. called
Sister T wants to get her license back. I guess she was inspired by Sister M. Let me tell you a little something about T. Her license was taken from her over 20 years ago. Why you ask? Because she racked up a few thousand dollars in parking tickets, another few thousand in dollars in warrants when she didn't show up to pay for the parking tickets and ....oh and here is the icing on the cake.... Ready? She totaled 4 cars in 1 year! Thankfully she didn't crash into other people...nooooooooooooooo...not T. She crashes into parked cars or walls. This woman is hard on cars. I am not kidding when I tell you that all of her cars looked like they entered in a Demolition Derby every weekend! Tell me? How does one accidentally break four back windows of a family van? If you figure it out, please tell me. Then! Even after the windows were out, she didn't replace them. She drove around with the kids in the van all bundled up during the winter. They liked it during the summer....lol. Sister M is in Oregon, so the California drivers are safe. But Sister T lives in Los Angeles, CA. I am now taking bets on how long it takes for her to get a ticket or take out a wall.

Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 5:20:54 AM- Possible Rain?
God I wish! Boy do I hope! I love taking a walk on a rainy day. The sun feels good...I won't deny that. But it has been too long since the rain was felt on my skin. A nice long lingering wet walk and get soaked to the skin....feel the moisture in the air and the crisp chill on my cheeks. After I get so cold during my walk in the rain, I look forward to coming home so I can wrap my favorite throw around me and sip on some hot chocolate laced with Grand Marnier....mmmmm...delish! When I was a kid with my sisters and friends, we lived for the rain so we could go outside and play in the flooded cul-de-sac. Then we would go inside hours later and sip on the hot chocolate my Dad made. There is still that rain child within me. There is a saying "Some people feel the rain, others just get wet" I get the fun, the meaning, the dance. Hurry rain.....hurry.

Sunday, August 11, 2013, 5:40:08 AM- Kids
I babysat some wee ones today. It was a favor for a single dad who has to work all weekend. I am not a stranger to kids. My nieces and nephews now count as 42 nieces/nephews, this includes great and great great. So basically I know the ins and outs of the little buggers. I do love kids, but not all kids. I admit it. I don't love all kids who come in contact with me. Some kids do get on my nerves. I have a few young nieces and nephews who get on my nerves, so I avoid them. I wouldn't necessarily call them brats, because they aren't. Some kids just have an air about them that strikes me as irritating. I know that I am not alone in this. *When my boys were young, I made mention in a PTA Meeting that I didn't like all kids. They were all aghast! Ooooh the looks they shot at me! You would have thought I had just killed everyone's parents by setting them on fire. I could tell a few felt the same way. They didn't speak up because they didn't want to be thought of as evil. So heads up, never say that to a room full of ninnies who don't understand....lol The children I babysat today were toddlers. Man was it fun! We played with blocks, army men, looked for bugs in the back yard, enjoyed the coloring books and sang songs. The 4 yr old wanted to keep turning on the television and I kept saying no. He finally gave up because I kept them entertained with things outside and with games. Tomorrow I babysit him and his sister again. This time it will be water fun. Yay!
