Today, I went into a local resturant and saw a girl who works there. We casually flirt back and forth and talk some while im there. I have started to like her.

So my normal pattern would be, to just sit on my ass and flirt and flirt and flirt but never make a move so what ends up happening is the girl thinks I want to be "just friends" and once you get in the friends zone you cant get out. It has happened to me countless times!

Well for the first time in my life I decided to grow a set of balls and just ask her out before it went to far along and I got "friended".

So I did just that! I asked her out for coffee. She turned me down. Said she had a boyfriend, but you know what? its ok. I made a joke after she said no. I said " Good thing you werent married, then I would have really made an ass of myself" she laughed and I finished my meal and went about my day.

Normally I would be crushed by this rejection (what I have always been scared of in the first place) but I am not! Im happy I finally grew a pair and did it. There will be other girls. It feels good to just do something like that finally.

We had his funeral today. You know, strangely I wasnt super sad. I was glad he wasnt sick anymore and back with my grandma forever. It really was a celebration of his life. The preacher came over beforehand and had each of us tell a story about my grandpa and it was really touching.

I found an old bowler hat in his closet. I look like a pimp in it lol. I kept it along with some books of his and a really nice silk tie. I will miss him sooooo much but he is in Heaven and I know it. So I am happy.
