Sunday, July 16, 2006, 9:18:46 AM- 2 AM
Seems this trip is more fun then I thought it would be. Don’t know if it is the city, the weather, or the fact I just drank to much Frascati (local Roman wine) yesterday night. And I was not drunk (yet). And I also heard something of my special guy. Seems he had his own fun (he was probably more ‘out of this world’ then me).

Anyhow, yesterday night, after we were back from much eating (had ‘abbocchio dish’, love it) and drinking, most of us were exhausted and wanted to get some sleep. But not me. Sitting on my hotel room I wanted to hear boyfriend and tell him all about my evening. So I decided to call him out of the blue.

It was almost 2.00 AM. I knew he was at his apartment at the beach, because he told me he would sail this weekend. And with these hot temperatures, who can blame him. So after a few times ringing he picked his mobile up. But I heard a lot of noise. And I thought he would be fast asleep now. So I asked him, you at a party. I heard on his voice he was so not sleepy. And maybe even thinking, ‘fuck I’m busted’. He answered, I’m not at a party, but I’m having a party. I was so surprised! Is it the fucking Frascati playing tricks with my mind, or did I hear that correct.

So I answered very surprisingly. ‘You having a party? Who is there?’. My female curiosity had to get some details.

And before I go on with this you all have to know some details to fully understand this. My boyfriend and his friend give football training to troubled youth. Teenagers who are under the care of social workers.

So when I asked him who was there he said he decided (and his friend) to invite the football team to spend some time on the beach. Seeing most of these kids don’t have much opportunity to even have a holiday. And because boyfriend and I will be away for some weeks, he wanted to give them a great time. And when he told me the whole story, I was so proud on him. I had no words anymore. Those things really impress me, and reminds me what kind of guy he is. Although I told him on the phone how much I loved him for doing this, he knew I would love to have been there. So before I even said anything, he answered: ‘yah tiff, love you too. And I will behave. And make some pictures so you can see what is going on.’ Like I told before, don’t know what makes me so happy now. The city, the weather, the wine or just...

Saturday, July 15, 2006, 9:06:59 AM- Rome
Thanks to all for the lovely comments and pm’s. Well today I woke up in Rome. Yah, Rome. I had to mention this before I guess, but I didn’t look forward to this trip (it has ruined my other plans). It is for work with most of my colleagues. A 3 days seminar. And while boyfriend’s holiday just started (he took 5 weeks off), I’m working. Well, normally I’m free next week, but I don’t consider it a holiday. I have so many things to do, that it is more a work holiday then something else. But it will be strange having him 5 weeks around me (but that is a good thing). Things went like this yesterday. I was off at 4 pm, but like always I was away at 4.30 pm. Luckily boyfriend picked me up at work, so we had some time in the car. Arriving home, he had surprisingly made something to eat. I was very flattered by his spontaneous cooking skills. After that we packed my stuff, talked about his week (he is in Brussels 4 days a week). And then it was already time to say goodbye. Hardly had a good look at him and I was already standing at the airport. I found it very depressing to have so little time while I had so many things to say.

On the plane it was crazy. We were with a total of 50 people. It was like a school trip, but then without a teacher. So much talking, joking, and laughing. And it did give me the change to get to know some of the colleagues I don’t work with. And that is always nice. Arriving at Rome we all checked in the hotel. Did had a short drink with some of them and then off to bed. And this morning I woke up in Rome. A bit strange seeing I was in Paris yesterday.

This afternoon we are back having a seminar, but now we have like 4 hours of free time. So I’m going to do some sightseeing with some of my collegues. Well, not really sightseeing. I suggested getting some ice cream from ‘San Crispino’, my favourite gelaterie. And if we have time left we will try to make it to the ‘Fonatana di Trevi’. Every time I’m in Rome I toss a coin in the fountain. And seems it must have some magic, because I always come back to Rome. And with that nice weather, I would even consider to make a dive in the fountain. I do that sometimes. But we are in Rome, and I’m not Anita Erberg (from the famous scene in La Dolce Vitta). So I don’t think that will happen today.

I find that sometimes strange, so many cops protecting a fountain. Or would they guard all the coins. I wonder where all that money goes to at the end of the day. Oooh well, I will try to enjoy this weekend, but some part is looking forward to Monday, when I’m coming home. But now, it is time to go to the gelato boys. So you all have a nice day, and get some ice cream if you have the change.

"right last year three people were jailed for stealing the coins from the Fontana... once a day it was cleaned and the Municipality of Rome used to give the money for charity... one day a letter from one of the charity associations told the major that they were very sad that they had no more money... police started to work and discovered that three municipality of Rome workers stole more than half of the coins, making in one year an amount of more than 100000 euros each... never say never, if you are in Italy :p"

Friday, July 14, 2006, 8:54:53 AM- inner demons
It’s back Friday. A day that many are looking forward to. Two days to recharge the batteries. And I also need to have some piece now. I have been so busy lately. With work, with boyfriend, with friends, with so many things. It all is to much sometimes. And I seem to have so many unfinished business that I disappointed myself. And on top of that I have a new intern to train. A nice guy, but a lot of time and work. I also have to go on a trip, so I have to pack so much. Can’t go with one pair of knickers and one dress!

And although it is Friday, a moment I should be glad, I have too many stuff going through my head to really enjoy it. Tonight boyfriend is back home, and hopefully his presence can calm me down (or make me grab some pills). JOKING, I don’t use pills ever. Or maybe I’m just hoping he will read this and make dinner already.

I guess we all have such days that we just want to walk away from all the responsibilities. That we just want to forget all our daily problems. I’m just fighting my inner demons I guess. I so need a holiday.

Monday, July 10, 2006, 9:28:14 PM- some highlights
It has been a while that I post a new blog. And some have missed me (lol). And yes fizzy, I’m still the clumsy girl like always. So I will just give the highlights of last week:

You all ready?? I WORKED, CLEANED, I did some groceries, I was really UPSET, had to figure out how some computer program worked (I’m not an IT geek, so had the read like the hole online help), made a deadline, spend time with my SPECIAL GUY, catching up sleep, watched the semi finals, had some fountain FUN afterwards, WONDERING how things will be when I’m 30 (yah, I’m a thinker), HAPPY that it is friday and again weekend, POCKET BIKING on Saturday, and finally, watched the FINAL (to bad we didn’t beat Italy, but I know that Gio’s Italian pride would be bruised. Just joking Gio). So you all see I had no time to be on NN (for once).

So anyhow, I had a lot of things going on last week. And this week will be again very busy. I hope I can inform you all. I will try to write about my pocket biking, because there are many interesting things to say about that. But now I have to catch up with my blog reading. It has been ages. Catch you all around.

Wednesday, June 28, 2006, 9:49:55 PM- clumsy me
I can be so distracted by times. Today I visit a girlfriend. She and her boyfriend are renovating a house. So I decided this evening to make a short visit. To see if my boyfriend need to give them a hand. Ooops, just kidding. Yah, boyfriend wouldn’t like if I made such work arrangement for him. Not that I ever did that in the past!

Anyhow, I was on my way with the car. Yes again. And no, I didn’t had an accident. The clumsy part is that I mistake from drive way. I knew it as soon as I was driving up, seeing the owners were just sitting in there front yard. I just waved, put the car in reverse, drove off and parked one house further on the drive way.

Of course my friends had seen me parking in front of the wrong house. Yah, big laughs again. I think it is genetically defined or so. Seems I’m more then once a bit distracted, even clumsy. But it has made my life more interesting by times. And it certainly cause funny situations.

Tuesday, June 27, 2006, 9:45:46 PM- helping out a friend
I had planned to stay in today. Just working at home, relaxed. Away from the busy office. Just working a bit. Filling, doing some reports, catching up with some reading,… Nothing to heavy. Suddenly my phone went. I pick up and it was a friend on the line. Asking me if I could help him out. This friend is a chef cock and he wanted me to pick some stuff up for him, seeing he was stocked in the kitchen. So to make the telephone chat short, he had like a very big reservation, and also a few outdoor events today, so he didn’t have enough dishes, glasses…

Anyhow, after I got the driving instructions, I went on the road. Driving boyfriend big car. Yah, some laugh with the idea of me driving his car. I have no idea why, but some guys have a wild imagination. After I drove for 20 minutes I arrived at the place. It was a shop that was specialised in restaurant equipment. So you could find like a whole professional kitchen, but you also find napkins, and stuff like that.

After I spoke with a salesperson some guys would help me with putting it all in my car. I already found that very strange that I would get some help. And when the guys arrived and asked where my car was parked I found it very strange. A bit later my suspicious was correct. They came with almost 200 fish dishes, 200 dessert dishes, 175 wine glasses, 175 champagne glasses,... And I was like, is that all for me?? I was looking shocked when I saw them putting that all in my car. And I was already wondering if it all would fit inside my ‘petit’ car. Or better, I was wondering if I didn’t need to come with a truck. So after they had done that, I looked again at my car. I was already sweating with the idea of my driving back to the restaurant.

I consider myself as a good driver (on a good day). But today I was very nervous. All the dishes, all the glasses,... So breakable. And knowing me, I would just speed over a speed bum and hear it all brake. I was much stressed to drive like that. Driving very slow, driving like an old lady. And already praying I would make it. And I’m not even so religious.

But I did make it. And nothing broke. I don’t know if it was god, or just my driving skills, but I was relief I made it without pieces. And my friend, he just laugh. He said, we ran a marathon, so I knew you could do that. Yah, although I laughed, I was like… never again.

So my calm afternoon became very stressful. But it was an experience. And that is the most important.

Monday, June 26, 2006, 1:41:58 PM- lazy sunday
Not much to report today. Yesterday was just a lazy day. Slept until 11.00 am. Yah, I know, that is pretty late. But I was so tired, that I needed some sleep. Then did some cleaning, vacuuming, doing laundry... A bit later boyfriend decided to get out of bed. And he was in a cranky mood. Yah, you were!!! And don’t blame it on my vacuuming (laugh).

But like always my charms could change that rapidly. (Hmmm, not always, but sometimes I’m lucky). And if you people doubt it, I don’t use my sexy charms. Just being clumsy is more then enough to have a smile. So besides that, just a non-excitement day yesterday. Oooh well, sometimes it’s good just to be lazy.

Sunday, June 25, 2006, 7:17:23 AM- Missing in action
Back to the birthday party. Well, besides ‘boy next door’ one of the guest made a lasting impression. Not a good one I must say. She was the girlfriend of a friend of my dad. And listen carefully, she was 25, he was 58. I always wonder why a young woman would stick with some so much older. Not that I don’t believe there could be love. Who am I to judge them? But after watching her Friday, I’m almost certain there is more then only love in the game.

Anyhow, the reason why she was the conversation of the day was because she lost her bracelet. And everybody new it. She was making like an enormous fuss, making it sound it was my parents fault she lost it. I know my mum didn’t like it at all. It’s your birthday and someone lose something precious. And on top of that, she was insinuating a lot of things. My dad’s friend was even a bit embarrassed about her reaction. But anyhow, she lost it, and everybody had to look for it. In the garden, in the house, in the bathroom,… Like everywhere. You can imagine this news spread like fire. So at a certain moment, everyone was looking, talking about the missing bracelet. At the end, we didn’t find it. Who knows where she lost it. It could be anywhere. My mum said she would look for it the hole week, and if she would find it she would call immediately. And like my mum said to her, many people lose or forget something, but they always find it. I just hope my mum is right.

But so far she didn’t found it. I know it’s no fun to lose something, but that girl was like ruining the whole party that night. By making such a big deal about it. Luckily, her boyfriend said she should calm down, seeing the night wasn’t about her. So luckily she listened to him, but she didn’t say much anymore. I only hope my parents can find it, and give it back to her. Anyhow, that was most of it that night. Ooh, no fireworks, that was a bummer. But in general, besides the missing bracelet, the party was a blast.

Saturday, June 24, 2006, 10:53:14 PM- Boy next door!
Well, it is very late now. Almost 1:30 am (Sundaymorning), but before I get some sleep, I had to write some things down. Many have asked how the birthday party went, so here I go. Well, it was just amazing. More fun then I expected. Many things happened that night, to much to write down in one blog. So I will probably write about it the next couple of days.

First, my mum loved my birthday present. Yihaa for me. Yah, I was glad. But I knew she would like it. We had some nice chit chat before the people arrived. And I enjoyed that time with her. Anyhow at 6 pm people started to arrive. But it was actually 9 pm when everyone was there. We had like a barbeque outside. Luckily it was a sunny and hot day. So it was very nice.

Besides the dessert buffet afterwards, one of the most exciting things was catching up with some people. Especially ‘BOY NEXT DOOR’. It was since New Years Eve that we actually had seen each other. So all night I was trying to spot him amongst the people. And hoping he would sit down with us at the same table.

So finally I spotted him. It wasn’t that hard actually, because like always he had to be different. Most guys were dressed in black or just something formal, but Mr Nut was totally white. Yah, he did stick out amongst people. Maybe he did it just for that!

Anyhow; I saw him, kicked boyfriend and told him we would have to say ‘hi’. Well, boyfriend knows all about our childhood friendship, so he is used to my crazy impulses when it comes to ‘boy next door’. Instead of just saying ‘hi’ I decided to surprise him. So I sneaked up to him. Very slow boyfriend followed me with the drinks. A normal person would just have said ‘hi’,... But I’m not really normal (or like some say, normal is so boring). Instead of that, I slapped him on his white ass, saying ‘Didn’t you find anything else to wear?’. He turned and started to laugh saying, ‘ooooh, hit me one more time baby!’. That was the start of a lot of fun that night. He introduces me to his new girlfriend. Hmmm, I will not go into that... but she is definitely not the one.

Anyhow, we all hanged out that night. Was nice catching up with him, telling some of the childhood memories to our partners. It could have been a boring night, seeing a lot of people weren’t really family, but just friends of my parents. But we made it interesting by making our own fun.

Well, I will write more about this the next couple of days. Because many things happened that night. But now I will hit the sack. Need some sleep, because I’m very tired now.

Ps: seems many people partied tonight. So to all you party animals, PARTY ON!
