I missed the last bus so I ran home from the pub last night and got stopped by a police car with flashing lights!

I swear I was under the speed limit!!! That "unleaded" Kronenberg lager is certainly powerful stuff!

He realised I wasn't doing anything illegal and just drove away.

So I'm still a free man ..... and no more jogging home from the pub .... well not at over 30 mph anyway

I managed to get 3 hours sleep which is good for me. I prefer 5 hours but the weekend always disrupts my sleeping patterns. I'm working from home today and getting nothing done .... anything else seems more attractive than that ..... walking the dog .... 30 minutes on an exercise bike .... twiddling my thumbs, oh and blogging on NN!

I'll probably end up finishing my work after midnight as I'll be awake then anyway. Burning the "midnight oil" as ever ... oh no my beds on fire!!!

Its doesn't same to have worked in the UK. I remember hot summers as a kid followed by cold snowy winters with snow several feet deep. Now we seem to have one long gloomy season never getting really hot in the summer and in winter only a few inches of snow at the most ..... and lot and lots of rain. I supposed we should be grateful we don't get tornadoes or hurricanes although we get our fair share of floods now. I'll just have to dream about more exciting weather instead.

I was at a family Halloween party last night reminiscing about the old days .... pretending to be frightened of nephews and nieces dressed as witches and monsters and I was plied with lots and lots of wine. So I'm busy rehydrating on this first day of November only a couple of months till Christmas ... unbelievable! Its Guy Fawkes night on Wednesday here in the UK, lots and lots of fireworks and bonfires ... I'd better get some earplugs for the dog .... she hates it! Have a lovely weekend everybody
