Been there done that bought the t-shirt. Twitter to me is like facebook but with more limits and less privacy.
Now if past blog posts were easier to find and the friends list actually did something more than alert us to pics and blogs, I would be a happy camper!

No offense and all, but the chances of me integrating NN in to my social networks is somewhere between zero and nothing. I ain't gonna be following you, and if you try to follow me, you'll get blocked.

This is a (mostly) amateur porn site; virtually everyone here is anonymous and only post because of that fact.

The embarrassment that would be caused if any of my colleagues found their way back here would be equal only to the chances of getting fired.

Maybe this would be make a good site poll: "Would you let NN in to your social networks on Facebook or Twitter"? The response might (I could be totally wrong here) save you a lot of barking up the wrong tree :)

Sallinque: valid points, however I suspect alot of people have anonymous Twitter accounts. Time will tell.

Agree with Sallinque 100%.

NN: likewise valid point about anonymous accounts :) BTW, I love the idea of an iPhone specific version of the site! Want a beta tester?

Sall's spot on with that....you don't want any kind of leakage elsewhere
18-Aug-09 23:06:13
/me decides to refrain from commenting on rodin's leakage :P

I guess those that don't care about being recognised will 'play/join' those who want to remain private will remain private.
From a NN web-site's owner point of view, in speculative glasses, I'd say: 'nothing ventured nothing gained' :) = 'go for it'
I have nothing to say about Rodin's leakage ;) xxx

I like it, as long as people don't over tweet I don't need to know when someone goes to pee

Interesting turn of events.

How is the PM "Search" feature coming? :)

While the Twitter angle was mildly interesting, I can't help but feel it was a short sighted attempt to bandwagon jump onto the current social networking fad. I say short sighted as the nature of the site meant it was never going to be popular. I like new features as much as the next person, I just wish you'd add something a little more worthwhile. Or maybe tackle some of the issues the site has ie better search options, or get rid of the gargantuan amount of web junk thats smothering the real pics, or even tackle the PM spammers. Movement in any of these areas would be greatly appreciated by all.

Sorry for the rant, but no one is tweeting with me and it sucks. :D

I think twitter's fascinating, in a hmm-what's-that-in-the-petri-dish sort of way, and I'm all for experimenting with new ideas. But I suspect twitter has yet to mature into whatever it will become. As it is now, I mostly don't have time for it.

I agree with the comments suggesting better tools for reading the content of other users. You say that NN is a social site but as far as I can tell, there's no way to follow public comments a particular user makes across the site. It would be a great way to get a better sense of people's personality.
