I post, a LOT
Here in the US, most Chevelles and Malibus have been turned into race cars. I watched a friend of mine butcher a beautiful 1971 SS454 Chevelle. When he bought it, it had the factory 454, 4-speed and factory A/C...now it only runs long enough to drive it on a trailer and then run down a drag strip. crying

Thanx for your reply!!!
Thats sad! I love to drive to the dragstrip, race all day and drive home! Without trailer...

It is sad. It's not just Chevelles either....it's next to impossible to find a 67-69 Camaro, Chevy II, or even a Fox body (1979-1993) Ford Mustang that hasn't been modified for racing. I love drag racing, but I could never bring myself to cut up my 1991 Mustang to build a dedicated race car. I would much rather find a 4-cylinder Mustang and use that body as the base of a race car.

Enjoy the Chevelle. I always wanted a Chevelle or Pontiac GTO back when I was a teenager. I came close to buying a 1970 GTO Judge, but decided that the asking price was too much for a car that didn't run and needed lots of body work.
