What is the Most Surreal Place You Have Visited?
For me, it was Machu Picchu, a fifteenth century Inca fortress that has much to offer. The farming terraces, along with panoramic views is simply stunning. I also found this to be one of the most spiritual places that I have visited. What say you?

Not a place but an exhibition
i was being a social contact to a disabled guy
we watched movies, go out to dinner
id help him with his PC
and we'd go for adventures
So we took the ferry (with car) to Denmark
to the Experimentariet
where the exhibition "Bodies" was displayed

skinned real bodies some "diced" or places in various positions
totally surreal eek

Mount Rushmore. Even though I had seen pictures and videos of the monument, I was awestruck seeing it in person.

I think that it would be amazing to see The Great Wall of China and the city of Petra

Have been to Cairo and the pyramids, was disappointed about that one, was once as a child on one of the welsh mountains above the clouds clear as day, like looking across fluffy marshmallows.
Petra was on my to do list, and wall of china plus the terracotta soldiers

does the surreal place have to be for real?

We’ve been to Manchu Picchu too. Truly extraordinary and spiritual place. Slightly more surreal was the valley of the kings in Egypt. Standing in 400+ Year old tombs put out short time on this planet into perspective. Seeing places like these makes life much richer - sorta like NN raspberry

Salem, back in '03. Had a really strange atmosphere to it, outside of holiday season just a few people casually in full devil body paint and one guy carrying a baby alligator with a strap over its mouth down the street. That visit didn't last to long...

Just getting started
mr and mrs display have been all around the world in the last few years. Machu Pichu is certainly extraordinary, particularly as we were the first in one morning so no one in our pictures. Some other places in no particular order. Christchurch NZ city centre;just about everywhere in Bolivia, particularly buying dynamite in a street market; Iran, Okavango delta,Botswana,Patagonia (glaciers and speaking Welsh), the backwaters of Kerala, the coloured sands in Chamarel,Mauritius and probably the most surreal the rock garden in Chandigarh India.
