Sunday, July 14, 2013, 12:27:57 AM- world record attempt
Recently I noticed that the nudist resort I visit was having a skinny dip world record attempt there, so I decided to check it out. This attempt is sanctioned by the AANR and has several locations thoughout North America. The world record set in 2010 is 14,228 skinny dippers. This is attempted every year and has not been matched in over two years. At this resort there were 262 people in the water today. I wont know until later what the total count will be. It was alot of fun to be around all of these naked people.

Sunday, April 21, 2013, 5:43:34 PM- Another fantastic weekend
If you know me I am a "music junkie" as bigtitter86 puts it. Some of you may of heard I was at a concert this weekend. It is a small world out there. After I arrived in town, I went over to the venue to check it out, parking, when do doors open ect.I strike up a conversation with a guy working there. After awhile I mention where I grew up. Low and behold this guy grew up in the neighboring community of my childhood. He even married someone from my high school. If that wasnt enough I met a guy at the concert (referred to in ju's blog) That I had met at a previous concert in Toronto that juicy and I went to. The concert in question was Burton Cummings. Some people have told me I have an addiction to seeing him as I have seen him 5 times within the last three years. This guy like me and several other "faithful" followers attend many of the shows.I also ran into 4 fans that were at the show near my home. I also got to meet one of my online "friends" from another website. My one friend was lucky enough to have tickets in the front row. Towards the end of the concert several of the faithful gathered close to the stage. After the show the local rock station was having an "after party" at the hotel just down the street. We mingled around the stage for about 15 minutes before leaving, I was hoping to get some autographs on my ticket which didnt happen. After the show I was able to get one of the set lists. So it was time to head to the party. I had gone to my car and left my ticket there but brought the setlist for show off and tell as I call it. When I got there, there was a couple at the table that was like "hi, 2k" and all I could say was "excuse me, do I know you" It turns out they were siting behind me at the concert near my home last summer. It really is a small world. I didnt think much of it but I had gotten up to use the restroom and noticed this one guy was "taking a long time". Well I'm not gonna wait several minutes, I'll just find the one in the lobby. I walk past the front desk and I see the guitarist and percussionist.I returned to the table and told everyone the band was up front, we all take off for the front desk. I did get my autographs and enjoyed talking to the band before they boarded their bus for toronto. It was just a fantastic night of rock and roll, now that I am closer to the members of the band I feel "almost famous"

Sunday, June 17, 2012, 12:06:31 AM- A day of nude fun
I attended a naked bike ride today, it was a blast. There were about 50 of us invovled. The ride lasted for about two hours. Just as I arrived it had started to rain. Before the ride starts you can paint your body if you wish. this was held indoors during the rain. Finally it stopped raining before the ride started and off we go. We rode all over town, we even circled downtown three or four times. There was alot going on downtown such as a farmers markets and other vendor booths. There were people everywhere (including the police). It was great. There was no trouble or arrests. After the two hour ride we returned to base and drank beer and talked about how fun the ride was. What a great day.

Monday, November 22, 2010, 2:27:52 AM- Another great day of rock and roll
Today I went to a grand opening of a clothing store. The store had several in store radio promotions to promote business. My radio station was there with the pride of berwyn Illinois ( The Ides of March) playing in their hometown of Berwyn. The Ides played for two hours, playing many of jim Peterik's hits including "vehicle", "Eye of the Tiger", "Hold on Loosely", "L.A. goodbye" and "You wouldn't listen". They played for about 100 people and I was up front just less than 10 feet away. Another great day. I will leave you with one last song as I still search for my "rebel girl"

Monday, November 15, 2010, 11:12:36 PM- weekend update
This weekend was the annual bears/vikings get together here in chicago. It's a great weekend, many of our minnesota friends come down for the game. On friday my brother arrived in town. I picked him up at the airport and took him to his hotel. He checks in, they give him a room on the "13th" floor. I didn't think hotels had a 13th floor. We get off the elevator and notice the strong industrial chemical smell in the hallway. My brother enters his room unpacks all his stuff, ok it's time for dinner. We exit the room and wo there's that smell again. He decides he cant handle it and we head for the front desk. The front desk gave him a room on a different floor. Great we have to go back to the room and pack everything, not to mention unpacking everything again. Finally we were off for dinner and meet up with a couple of the minnesota friends. Lot's of drinking and good times. During the day saturday I attended the cd release party (previous blog) It is such a good time, to see these bands up close and for free. Saturday night was the dinner get together. It was dinner for 16. We reserved a private room at this nice place downtown. We had a 1500 dollar minimum. There were alot of bottles of wine ordered. The reservation was for 7. No one ordered any food til about 9. One of the minnesota boys always says a prayer of sorts. They call him the preacher. The room was all men. He begins the prayer of why we get together, is it football, good friends no not really, it's pussy he says. We were laughing so much as he goes on about our quest for pussy. We had a fantastic meal, alot of laughs and surpassed the 1500 dollar minimum. It was a good night. Sunday was the game. Unfortunatly we only had like 7 tickets for the game so I didn't go to the game this year. Later on I got together with one of my brothers friends for a hockey game. He has great seats close to the ice. The hawks won in overtime too. Just a great weekend.

Every year at this time a local dj puts together a cd of obscure classic rock gems. He also organizes a cd release party inviting local bands to perform free for us. Bands such as cryan shames, buckinghams, new colony six and ides of march. It is a great time. I will leave you with a song from a previous year with jim peterik and the cryan shames performing "vehicle"
