Monday, September 10, 2007, 9:52:54 PM- Ok, that went well
Yesterday was a complete stress attack, but I'm feeling *much* better today! I'm back at work and can't wait to do my first photo shoot with our new Nikon D200! Wooty woot woot! Soooo excited I need a haircut really badly, but I'm trying to wait. A friend is getting married in a couple weeks, and I'd rather have a fresh haircut for the wedding. Yes, girls are like that. We're complicated. Deal with it. What I really need, though, is a pedicure. I have a gift certificate that I got for my birthday, so I think I'm going to do that this weekend.

Tuesday, May 8, 2007, 12:11:12 AM- Another rainy Sunday
Well it's another drizzly Sunday here in Vancouver. My herbs are mostly doing well out in my new flower box. The spearmint, rosemary, oregano, and chives are all bushy and happy. My sweet basil, however, has given up. I think the earth was too wet. Its leaves are melting into the soil and the roots never left the original root ball. Sad, I know. I was really looking forward to fresh basil. It is so wonderful waking up to the birds singing. This morning the rain was not enough to deter the busy birds. At 8am Mr. Woodpecker was hard at work, drilling into that pine tree. Then the starlings took over the neighbourhood and it got really noisy! I can't describe how pleasant it is to live out of earshot of a busy road. There is a major road nearby, but it isn't heavily used in the early weekend mornings. Now if only we lived one house farther up the hill. Then we'd have a view to go with our quietude.

Wednesday, May 2, 2007, 10:45:57 PM- Sunday in a nutshell
Well, Sunday didn't quite fit into a nutshell. I woke up at 6:30am to take my car into the local used car lot at 7am. When I arrived at 7:09am there was already a line of 20 people waiting to get their day permits to park on the lot! I parked then walked back home, where I ate the leftover mexican cornbread that I made on Friday before falling asleep on the couch. Later we ran into Richmond to pick up a game that the boyfriend was dying to acquire, and I finally got some kickass speakers! They're little Edifiers and they're sweet. I can't wait until the break-in period is done so I can really see what they can do! On the way back home the boyfriend dropped me off at my car. I grabbed groceries for terriyaki pork kebabs, then drove back home, where my man very kindly had a Cuba Libre waiting for me. Ahh, what a day!

Saturday, April 28, 2007, 12:31:37 AM- The little things webgirls go through...
Ok, this is extremely silly, but today I was getting ready to shoot a video. Me and my boyfriend were cuddling on the bed a bit when I snuck up behind him and WHAM got an elbow right in my forehead. Yeah, it hurt, but the first thing we both thought of was "Oh no! The photos!!" So I grabbed some frozen corn and held it on my head and thank goodness there's no bump now. Yay! The photos are saved!

Thursday, March 15, 2007, 12:13:48 AM- Springtime in Vancouver
Today has been busy but good. I've been to the gym (30 mins on the Stairmaster, 30 on weights), I've had my hair cut, I went to the dollar store for more incense, I got Corona at the liquor store, I got hamburger buns at the grocery store, I got tomatoes and lettuce and avocados at the farmer's market, and now I've been getting work done since I got home. It is a gloriously sunny day and once again the sky is unusually clear, enough so that I can see the ski runs on the north shore mountains and even the mountains up the river valley. Mt. Baker is beautiful even though it is topped with fluffy white clouds. I really must take some scenic shots this spring. Oh, and the cherry trees are starting to bloom. I love this time of year!
