Wednesday, February 15, 2006, 12:52:29 PM- Mornin!
Hiya... Well this mornin we Finally got some snow...its about time cuz it has been such a dry Winter here...can't help but think what the Hole in the Wall area looks like now that we got this white stuff, bet its even more beautiful! I also want to thank those who left comments on the picts we took there...and have to admit that in an area like that anyone could do those cuz its pretty hard to take a bad picture in an area like that. Puppy Report :...She is Crazy.....lol....just full of hell and so funny to play with....jumps from one thing to another....everything is new in her eyes and she can't get enough of life! I have a little place set up next to my bed with a puppy gate on one side and up till yesterday it was workin fine to keep her there, but then she discovered how to crawl under the bed and escape so I had to fix that and was she mad.....lol....she shoved and pushed and growled and was really annoyed that I secured her escape hatch.....lol....Oh ya ...she has now discovered the goats......just stares at them and watches...won't be long before her herding instinct takes over I'm sure! Well gotta run in to work early today ...plow time...Bob agreed to plow the motel next to our shop so once he does our place he will need to get over there and get that done too before we open up......instead of $$ we are getting motel room credits.....anyone want to visit us....hehehe....free room and extra's on the side....hehehe! Love ya all ~~Kisses~~ ~Kat~

Monday, February 13, 2006, 1:39:30 PM- Hole in the Wall....
Hiya... Well I didn't go with Bob to help with calving as it was just so damn cold and windy and with the puppy being so little and needing attention I figured I would stay with her and do some things around the house. I slept lots.....lol....*needed that....and of course worked on our housetraining and even introduced the lead which of course she Hated...lol....its like having a tiny buckin horse on the end of a rope....lol...but at this age ( 7 weeks) they are so open to learning cuz everything is new and it helps to let her get the feel of some control. Also worked on my rock saw and did some grinding and shaping......and even got some NN pervin in too! One of the ranch hand picked up Bob on Sat after work and so on Sunday afternoon I drove up to pick him up and what a beautiful day....wow...it was like 40 and so sunny and bright. The ranch is located up in what is called Hole in The Wall Country and its where Butch Cassidy used to hide out after robbing trains....its just a beautiful area and as I drove through the small valley along the Powder River it just struck me how remote the area really is and its no wonder ol Butch was able to hide there. The road you follow was the same trail he used and as I drove along I couldn't help but think of how it was back then...my mind wandered so much I damn near ran off the road...lol....so below is a photo of the ranch where Bob was....a beautiful setting but as I said very remote...no stores or anything for about 60 miles.... On the way back I had to stop and take a few picts and Bob took this one of me with Feather and Skye... Feather is beginning to "tolerate" Skye....tho she still isn't sure what to make of her half sister....lol....sometimes she wants to herd her and the pup tries to chase her and get her to play but Feather isn't up for play ...yet! Last photo is just a shot of the area where I drove and if ya look close you can see the different layers of minerals and rock.....just imagine the time it took mother nature to make such a beautiful setting! But ya know I look back at my life and think of the places we have lived and even tho we are pretty much away from the sexy fun we had in a city I KNOW why I live here in Wyoming.... ~~Kisses~~ ~Kat~

Had to include this pict of Skye tho...she is a handfull...LOL....had her at work today and she is just full of hell as you can see in this shot....just a wonderful puppy ...already herding balls! And should I brag....like say she heels, sits, does a long down.....naaaaa.....Im a mom but not that bad.....lol.....however I have a feeling she will pick up the basics pretty well....she is a border collie after all! Love ya.....time to do dinner......thanks to hamburger helper! ~~Kisses~~ ~Kat~

Wednesday, February 8, 2006, 1:45:50 PM- The rooster...
Hiya... Wow I am so pleased that the Challet Suzanne is still there..WOW.....so often things change and it would have been sad to hear it was gone. I remember it so well....loved the place and flacamfan ya gotta try it...Cathy and Bill are so right about the soups too...just yummers....far better than my hot water soup!!! So I meant to tell ya all about one of the seminars we were attending last weekend....this was so funny...the seminars were all AG related and as were held in an Ag Extention building....so we sit down in this room...have all our note pads out and stuff...and the seminar leader starts her presentantion and gets like two words out and a rooster starts crowing......like right in the room....lol......the poor gal was just totally flustered....so she starts again and the rooster starts crowing Again.....well this time several ppl got up and start searching the room for the damn bird....cant find him....so the gal starts again and the rooster starts crowing again.....by now everyone including the seminar leader is laughing.....then...two young boys sheepishly peek in the door and walk over to a closet and come out with a crate with the rooster......seems the previous seminar was on poultry and they didn't know we were using the room next! Another of my thousands of reasons for Loving Wyoming...but I sure miss the food @ Challet Suzanne! Gotta run..... ~~~~Kisses~~~ ~~ Kat ~~

Tuesday, February 7, 2006, 1:45:30 PM- Baked Grapefruit ...and other stuff
Hiya... Here is how ya make baked grapefruit...I know it sounds weird but it is totally Yummers...and simple...almost as easy as my hot water soup...lol First ya cut the fruit in half....then cut into each slice so they can be spooned out easy....then ya sprinkle brown sugar over the top of each half and bake for 30 min at 350 degrees...I make several at a time and its Wayyyyyy Good...even after pizza.....lol We found out about this years ago when we "discovered" a place in Lake Wales Florida called the Chalet Suzanne...its a little place hidden way in the back of an orange grove or was...been years since we have been there....it was such a special place for us....very spendy to eat there but the food was to die for...and special cuz they did little things like having dedicated tableware...each table had its own different setting....and you eat slowly.....one course at a time...The place was built a zillion years ago and was also a motel with each room furnished with antiques from all over Europe...funny too...some of the room floors were totally uneven....like I said it was wayyyyy old....lol.....but we loved going there and I sometimes wonder if it still exists.....at the time it was a five star rated dining experience... Am runnin late cuz I spent some time answering a question posted by NN in the Site Discussion Forum.....its Very interesting and I'd suggest all you active members take a look and offer your opinions....I think it was great that NN asked us for opinions..... Gotta run.....but try bakin some fruit.....hehehehe.....its Sooooo Good ~~~~~Peace~~~~ ~Kat~

Monday, February 6, 2006, 1:36:14 PM- LOL@getting OLD
Hiya.. Ya were OLD....old as dirt....lol.....well sometimes feel that way and sheeesh lookin back at the weekend I guess we are.....lol......Oh well that happens to everyone does it not....and after all its more in your head than anythin else.... This mornin I was reading several of the blogs I like and its just facinating to keep up with folks.....and wow I must say the blogs are so well written...and some of the adventures ppl have are so great...these blogs are just an awesome part of NN and I find I spend more time reading them and the forums than pervin the picts...NO..That Is NOT a sign of old age.....lol...its just Fun......* I will admit to perving the wet and messy section every day tho......just that it is secondary to the blogs and forum. Speaking of the forum....the teeth grinding ,annoying "debate" with my anti pee friend GOSH is evidently over now.....looks like the boy took his game ball and went home....Its interesting how reason always prevails in these little spats between members and how some great ppl jump in and kick butt....*kisses @ KidKool....who btw gave gosh several 15 yard penalties for his behavior....LOL.....anyway I invented a new NN term....when someone bashes ya you have been "Goshed"......lol So we did watch the superbowl yesterday and it was kinda fun..when we owned the bar in Montana it was always a zoo during the game and we never really got to see much ( but sure poured lots of shots...lol) and since then we haven't paid much attention to it...so we had a pizza delivered and consumed Wayyyy too much of that...lol....Then after the pizza I made my famous baked grapefruit.....Yummers....Kind of enjoyed the half time show....we had seen ol Lips at a live concert some time ago but wow talk about aging....sheesh.....lol..... Well better run and do my pervin b4 the sun rises..... Oh..BTW....Old as we are...we did do sex before the game....LOL......see us senior NN'ers can still do that...LOL....*mmmmm....wondering if there is a senior discount for my next membership......LOL Kisses...Love ya all ~~~~Kat~~~~

Sunday, February 5, 2006, 3:45:45 PM- Were back....wonderful time!!!
Hiya... Well it was way weird closing up our buisiness on a Friday at noon and heading off to the meeting....something we hardly ever do and so it just felt uncomfortable....But we are so so pleased we went....it was a Wonderful time and so educational. We did intend to take some photos....yep scenic ones....and personal scenic ones too....hehehe....but ya know on the drive down to Casper we got into some intense discussion about the organization we do volunteer work for and it seemed like zoom...we were in Casper before we could even think of snapping even one pict! Soon as we arrived we found our motel, checked in and then headed to the meeting as there were seminars early. It was wonderful to meet other volunteer leaders, share ideas with them and learn...and we did learn lots! That evening we met up with some of our local leaders and had a light dinner in the bar and talked, laughed, and woooooo...played darts....We were astonished they had steel tip dart boards up and we got into playing cricket and just had a great time. Actually too great of a time.....lol....good thing it was the hotel bar cuz driving was outta the question and we just stumbled to our room and did a crash in the bed.....Imagine that.....lol.....we didn't fuck....in a Motel Room......LOL....sooooo funny.....hey maybe were just gettin OLD....yikes!!!! Our next day was full from 7 am to 7Pm....I mean we were busy with seminars and of course the general business meeting...I always find those boooooooring but Bob is into such things so I sipped strong coffee and attempted to stay awake while they debated budget issues and other resolutions. In most organizations there are Always issues that are contentious and we found ourselves in the middle of one and I am so so proud of Bob as he just shines in a setting like that. He just has a way of accepting people's opinions and offering ways to resolve problems and really made me proud when he managed to lighten up a very tense situation. Personally I have to hold myself back at times like this cuz I have a tendancy to jump up and call people on their shit.....lol....but he is sooooo subtle and sets a tone for solving problems rather than making them worse....*sigh..... So after a long committee meeting that ended in a very positive way we headed back home and again our discussion of the meeting and what we had learned made the time just fly by.....and again we get home verrry tired and just hit the rack and didnt even think of sex....SHEEEESH.....I Know I am getting OLD......LOL......but what a wonderful time we had. During one break we snuck off to visit Ft. Caspar which was just blocks away from the meeting site and wow did we take a trip down memory lane....next to the Fort is an RV park and many years ago we had stayed there when we were looking for a place to settle here in the West. We so remembered walking over to the Fort and looking at the buildings and buying books about the history of the place....walking in the past .... a time when people were so much more self reliant....you could almost sence the ghosts of the past there.....the soldiers and civillians living as they did in the 1800's ....so we just sat there and got all emotional cuz it was a time of exploration for us...and we remembered our hopes for a better life....were only there 30 min or so but in that time we managed to step back in our lives to a time we so fondly remember....we kissed....and cried....then wiped away the tears and got back to life as we know it now... And last night I slept....wooooo did I sleep.....lol......the motel bed was like a Rock......lol...... The meeting has us filled with new ideas for our program and we are so looking forward to starting again this year and sharing our new knowledge...was a special weekend and today were gonna just let it all sink in...and Maybe FUCK......LOL......**we might even get kinky...Oh Myyyyyy~~!! Love ya all ~~~Kisses~~~ ~Kat~

Friday, February 3, 2006, 4:09:20 AM- Nite blog...wooooo.....
Hiya.. Well we are closing up the shop tomorrow at noon or as close to that as we can so thought Id do an entry tonight as we will be gone for a few days. Sorry about the last few days being all political...sometimes things like that just frost me so much tho, and I think, most of us feel similar at times. My problem is that I understand how the system works and with most issues it's set up so an individual cannot make a difference. We used to actually believe you could effect change but the system now is so sophisticated the only change comes by buying it. When we lived in Montana we owned a small casino (20 keno and poker machines) and we along with 38 others were shut down because of a political issue between the state of Montana and the Flathead tribes.( we owned land within the boundries of the rez) We did get the system to work for us....it was actually pretty simple...our local association spent $15,000 dollars to hire a lobbyist and he got our US Senator draft an amendment to a bill and we got our gaming back up and running for an interm period....so it is simple.....ya just pay for your government....its that simple. My Father In Law became a very wealthy man by doing the same thing...paid the right firm in DC to represent his interests and Bingo he had huge government contracts with no competition....like they say...you get all the government you can buy...aint it nice! So when I sound sour about government you can see why.....its not for the people....only the people who pay.... On to better things.....I loved the photos in kitts blog...wow....babies are sooooooooo cute.....and ya hon I am familiar with the NAIS issue.....ranchers here are moaning and furious...as many of us who have small places with stock like you and I.....another touch from our government.....they stroke so so well.....I guess Im getting old tho as the fight has about gone from my soul....we fought for human rights issues in conservative republican run Montana and all I want to do now is just hide in my little corner of the world and close my eyes......yet the spark of indignation still burns in my heart a little bit.....so maybe someday I will kick some ass......lol.....even tho I have a really sore toe.... Speaking of animals....I will be getting my new pup in about a week....had an ex pen shipped in today and have it all set up at work so she can be with us ...now all I have to do is make things ok with Feather.....lol....she is NOT gonna like the addition, but I'm sure we will work that out without too many hurt feelings. I have a baby gate I am putting up so the new pup can stay in our room but Feather will maintain her elevated position on our bed and that will keep her feeling like the pack leader she is. Well its damn near 9 and past my bedtime....5am comes early so off I go.....as they say...off like a prom dress.....lol When we get back from our meeting this weekend I will bore ya with more stuff from my little place here..... Love ta all ~~~Kat~~~

Thursday, February 2, 2006, 2:02:28 PM- Short on time BUT.....
Hiya... Thanx for the commnts on yesterdays blogs.....and sis I even have a dry suit you can use.....hehehe.... Well the "modern"world is fast coming to Wyoming....and its SAD....here is the latest....a gal about 60 miles from here has 100 acres which is right near the Butch Cassidy "Hole in the Wall site....and she is going to subdivide it for homes...this is SAD...and I find it Verrry sad.....gonna call it "Outlaw Acres".....so everyone in that area is all up in arms and I can't blame them....and the County Government is saying there is nothing they can do to stop this kind of thing because we have no zoning...Sooooo....they are now going to create zoning. This in my mind is a Terrible overreaction to a decision made by the gal who is subdividing her land. I totally feel she is wrong to do that but at the same time I feel that if we get zoning its even worse. Think about it....all of a sudden you have "rulz" about what you can and can't so with your own land....talk about legalized theft....people came here generations ago to taste freedom...they made huge sacrifices to do this.....believe me out here living in those times was a huge challenge and only the strong survived...and now....Government decides they Know what's best for us.....they need a "Plan"....control growth.....control everything....its a disease....So ya I hate what the gal is doing with her subdivison.....its a bad choice.....if you could see the area you would understand...but it is her land... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr......... Gotta run and clean goat and horse poop....lol.....and ponder what freedom used to be like.... ~~Kisses~~ ~Kat~
