Well its Sunday and 6"11 am......and Im up and alive......mind is functioning and the body is kinda sorta headed in that direction.....and Im feeling better so looks like I have mad it past this latest flu bug...thankfully~~!

So the day ( sat) started off a bit upsetting...as we were all about to leave for work I had the two adult dogs loose and playing with the puppy.....so thought Id give the "big" dogs cookie......as I did that little miss Skye ...who is fast as lightening jumps in between them and our older dog felt like he was going to have his cookie stolen and snapped at Skye....got her right on the muzzle and she screamed and ran off....My fault and felt awful....but no serious damage, but sure felt bad about it....was a lesson learned for Skye tho...she is learning boundries the hard way!

I was so right about Sat and how the shop would get messy with mud and ice....sheesh.....we had some trucks in from a roustabout company and OMFG....they were packed with mud...of course once inside the stuff falls off in huge clumps..and this stuff is not like your usual mud.....try taking 100# of talc and mixing it with water and you get the idea.....cept ours is red....our shop has just two bays and both were like that...and after we closed up we took snow shovels and picked up tons of the stuff.....then out comes the pressure washer and following that soap and hot water, then another session with the press washer....we had such Fun.....lol......but its Winter in Wyo and part of life here. Ya I know we should ask the roustabout ppl to wash the trucks first but they come limping in from the gas patch and head right here.....then back out again and ya can't expect them to spend 20 bucks to clean up only to get all mudded up again so we ignore it. Besides after a week of this slop in the shop..( hehehe) we needed to get the floors clean anyway.....but damn we worked till 3pm and usually leave about noonish....

Once home I made us all a late lunch and we hit the rack......woke up at seven.....had a cardboard pizza and back to bed......but feel sooooo rested this mornin!

Well time to brave the cold and feed the goats and horse.....then who knows what the day will bring.....I Love a challenge....hehehe!

Well Maybe this weekend we can rest up and get over this crud were fighting....sure hope so cuz right now my energy level is at about zero and I hate being whiney about it!

Yesterday we never got to take more than 15 min break...wow we were just so busy...lots of small repair things but each one kept us jumpin....chasin down parts.....runnin back to the parts house seemed like an endless journey. I love the work but get pretty frustrated with the "corporate" paperwork we seem to be seeing more of....Like one of our biggest accounts has now leased some trucks and one came in for a simple oil change....when we do those we also clean up the truck and this one had 1/2 of mud inside but we can usually get the truck out in 30 min....well now we have to call in first for authorization.....so I camm this 800 # and then the guy says he needs the VIN # of the trucj..so I get that....then he wants to know exactly what the cost will be......like I'm supposed to know that before we start the job....Oh ya....like what if the truck needs brake fluid or an air filter......finally get that across to the guy on the phone and he gives me a PO number.....then we service the truck.....Now ya gotta Fax the work order in and they then call you back within 48 hrs and you get to choose to be paid by check or some master card account ........that is assuming the fax got there.....we often fax stuff in and with our phone system here ( its a step away from a string and tin can I swear) the fax's sometimes go off into never never land.....Im Not pleased with this system one bit....takes longer to do the phone and fax as it does to service the damn truck.....GRRRRRRR......so then after that mess somebody calls and wants to know about a special kind of synthetic trans oil for his Dodge......Ok I look in my books for a cross to see if we have the oil and about that time the CO2 alarm goes off and I have three ppl in line picking up vehicles........Agrhhhhhhh......LOL.....Oh ya....while this is all going on Skye starts whining for dinner...I mean not whimpering but Whining.....she has a set of lungs this one does.....lol......Was soooooooo glad when we closed up.....lol....Today we work just half day and I swear Im crashing this afternoon and staying in bed for the rest of the day......and ya pauline....Im makin some chicken soup .....hehehe......wanna spoon feed me?????

Oh I forgot to mention....yesterday it snowed......all day......but its warm enough it does not stick so every truck that came in was packed with ice and mud and inside they thaw out and make a total mess of the place.....so we stayed late to muck out the shop and I bet it will be similar today.....

I want a VACATION......like head to some white sandy beach and have a nice rum punch and watch the sunset.......anyone wanna join me???

Ya I really am glad today is almost the end of our week cuz we both feel like crap....Im prob better off than Bob but I just hate feelin like this.....no energy ... of course we have our responsibilities and the lack of energy is just another hill to climb cuz when ya have a small business and animals at home they come first no matter how ya feel....Like I really wanted to ignore Skye whining to go out at 1am....lol.....and I did for like 3 min.....*picture me standin in the door with my nips rubbin on the freezin glass at 1am watchin a puppy find the "right spot".....lol....

We did work all day yesterday though it was a press for sure....then I had the pleasure of laundry.....but Bob was great and came home, fed, cleaned, did dishes and provided adult supervision for the puppy....when I got home I found him sleepin with Skye ...she was positioned on his head....all curled up.....lol.....what a photo op.....

Yikes...I read too many blogs and its time to get out and feed/clean ..... and nope....Im NOT kickin horse poop today....lol.....

So yesterday we worked till about noon and by then I had enough...was just too tired, kept dropping stuff, goofy stuff I don't usually do....Id need a 15mm socket and grab a 13...just way annoying and knew if I kept working Id mess something up so we finished up what was important to get done and turned out the open sign, locked the doors and hung a sign saying we were sick and headed home. I was here 10 min and was asleep....Bob was great....set a huge glass of OJ on the nightstand and kissed me and that's all I remember till about 6pm...He hauled manure to the landfill, went to the market and got all the stuff on my list and fed the animals....even took Skye with him so she wouldn't wake me....so she got to go to the dump.....lol....we always take the dogs with us when we make that trip and they get a kick out of it....we don't let them run around there but they like the trip ( must be the smells....lol)....so I got lots of sleep and feel better today tho still have a sore throat and feel a bit off....but much better than yesterday.....now Bob says he is feelin the same as I did so guess we are fighting some kind of crud.....after -20 degree weather and then a quick warm up I guess its expected.....but back to work today.....wish we could just stay home and rest but we have so many commercial customers and they need their outfits runnin...we often feel the pressure of that kind of work as down time for those companies working out in the gas patch is verrrrry costly.

Had to smile at Slye last pm as just before dark I had let her out with Feather the older border collie....Feathers routine is always the same...she runs over to the turn out area and "supervises" the goats and horse.....they Must be together....they Must be close to one another....its a border collie Rule ya see.....so while she is moving them around to her liking Skye is laying on the stone walk watching intently...I mean just staring...this is an 8 week old puppy and she is learning how to herd.....lol....I had to clap my hands several times to get her attention so was so focused....just amazing!

Well I should know better.....lol....Im out cleaning the horse/goat turn out and there is this pile.....my "apple picker" wont budge the stuff so I figure I will just kick it loose....OUCH.....the stuff is like cement...its like kicking the side of a mountain expecting it to move......Not happenin....and does major damage to the toe....so for those of you who haven't figured it out ....use your Heel....lol..

Well after a nice day lounging on Sunday..back to work yesterday and what a day....started right at 8am and ended right after 8pm....a 12 hour one and I'm sure feelin it today...I have aches in places I never knew existed!

Our cold weather ( days of -20 ) seem to be shifting back to our "normal" weather which is 20's in the mornings and 30's during the day....I sure don't miss that minus stuff....Nothing works right in weather like that ..but one nice thing is that we get sunshine through it all and that I love.....when we lived up on the Flathead in Montana we often went weeks and weeks without seeing the sun!

Little Skye is growin so nice...and is now going through that "wild" stage.....puppies are so much fun ...everything is new and I sometimes imagine what its like in their minds.....new this new that....smells and tastes....ya she tries to eat Anything.....lol....and oh ya she is disovering her Bark....lol....and loves to attack the other dogs....she hides then charges at them and runs like hell for cover...its a kick to watch this.....but I'm so pleased cuz she sleeps all night and is learning to head to the door when its "time"....

Well other animal duties call...the goats and horse are makin Im Hungry noises....lol....then off to work and rumor has it we will be there late again tonight....so a roast goes in the pot so it will be waiting ....

Slept in a bit this mornin....hey its 6:30 am....Im usually up at 5 but it is Sunday and I deserve a bit of luxury once in a while!

Well I was so right about changing lots of fuel filters yesterday...I get That job....lol....by the end of the day I had done 6 of them and I smell like the inside of a diesel tank....sheesh.....some are easier than others.....the new Dodge diesels are a breeze but the 6 litre Ford lower filter is messy and the Duramax ones are just a pain...and no matter how often I wash up the damn diesel smell just stays with ya......once home I scrubbed and scrubbed and finally got it off.....One nice thing tho is the look on the guys faces when I get the filters changed and thier prized diesel runs like a top.......one guy even called after I sent him out to say how well his truck was runnin....makes ya feel good!

Was so relieved that our heater was workin when we got into work....our High yesterday was -8 degrees...yep....Freakin Cold......so to be warm is sooooo important.....Had a Freightliner come in and the guy dropped it off out front so I had to drive it in and the drive was slick so one of the drive wheels was slippin and I sat there goin nowhere....lol....finally Bob showed me where the locker button was and I got it in with like 2" to spare so we could close the door.....but in the 3-4 min I took to drive the damn thing in the door was open and wow it took like an hour to warm the place up again!

So here it is Sat and the weekend is here.....will be workin half day today....well prob 3/4 day....lol....always works like that...we close at noon but somebody always shows up at 11:55 ...then the clean up so it will be afternoon b4 we get back home but since its so cold and the roads so slick were gonna be stayin Indoors Lots....does this mean sex....????....will I get crazy...????....LOL.....we will see......but I'm countin on it.....hehehe.....and if were in the photo mood I will certainly share the fun!

Short entry again today cuz we had more snow and off to plow again.....sheesh we will have LOTS of motel credits available....so keep us in mind.....lol

Its days like this that I wish we had some of Benji's temps out here....90's sounds way good this time of year!
