This is my first attempt at a public service announcement!!!By the way everybody, take a closer look at Ray Charles' picture from yesterday and see if anything strikes you as a bit unusual.

I love Ray Charles!!! My mom used to sing Ray all the time!!! I grew up listening to his music!!! Felt very bad when he died!!! This is my tribute to a great American!!! Hope you all enjoy!!!

Hey guys, What's up??? From yesterdays blog you can tell we had a good day. Well, it continued last night. We went to the "Tap" and played darts. Did pretty well, 3 of 7 against the 1st place team. People were commenting about how upbeat I was!!! I guess I can be a bit high-strung at times (I'm much too competetive)!!! Type A personality, nope, A+ I think...LOL!!! The son of one of my residents at the retirement community I work at, came to the bar to meet us!!! He brought his sis and bro-in-law, also!!! Cathy and I hit it off pretty well with them!!! Now, Ray (that's the son), is a very interesting person!!! He teaches computer skills all over the world!!! He is in Uganda right now (well, not RIGHT now)!!! Prior to that he was in Cyprus!!! He goes back in one week and I will miss him!!! Won't get to see him until around Christmas!!! We traded e-mail addresses and will keep in touch!!! He asked me to send pics of the real world...LOL!!! Hey guys, what's up!!! Had an awesome day today!! The Dunedin Blue Jays (that's the single A team for the Toronto Blue Jays) had a game against the Lakeland Tigers today!!! The game started at 10:30AM. Cathy and I figured we could go to the game and then go to the beach!!! The game was really fun (Dunedin won 9 to 2) and we even got to see A.J. Burnett pitch in a rehab start. The cool thing was that you got a free domestic draft at Eddie's with a ticket stub (which we had 2 of). Went to the beach and then on the way home stopped at Eddie's to collect on our drafts!!! Cathy had the domestics (Bud Select) and I had a couple of Guinness'!!! All in all, a very nice relaxing day!!! I do wish we had more like this!!! Darts tonight (wish us luck)!!! Cathy took a picture of me at the beach and started laughing!! This is a picture of Pelicus!! For some strange reason this egret has adopted me. When we go to work at the bar, in the morning, he waits on a roof nearby. As soon as the car pulls in to the lot, he flys down to me and walks right up. If I open the front door, he walks right into the bar. He follows me around like a puppy. This is a wild animal and he (she) has bonded with me!!! I get a blast out of that!! He (she) is also very possesive of me!! If another egret happens to show up, he fights and chases them away!!! He has actually taken food right out of my hand!!! He loves chicken wings but, just the flapper part not the drummie!! These are the type of things that make each day livable!! I get off on nature!! Sometimes I think I like animals more than people...LOL!!! Gaining a wild animals trust is a lot of work, they tend to be fairly wary of us (I wonder why)!! I've always been lucky with animals, for some reason they trust me!!! I think they have some kind of sixth sense!!! Well, by for now, Love,Cathy and Bill

Hey, guys, Bill here!!! This is Cathy and my Saturday!!! We live for this...LOL!!! We got home from our second job and, after making a stop at the bank and the gas station to get cigs and beer (and money, of course), had a cup of coffee!!! After coffee, the real work began!!!! I just have to say that I HATE yardwork and that was my plan for today!!! I admit that I can sometimes be a bit of an asshole and put things off for far too long, but I hadn't touched back there in at least a year and a half!!! I know,"Shame, shame!!!" Well, I started by trimming our white Bird-of-paradise!! This plant is over 20ft tall. Then I got around to my 6ft high weeds...no joke!!! As I was wacking and hacking weeds I found a nest with snake eggs (Black Racer). checked them and saw that they had all hatched (very good), and decided to take a picture!!! I've never seen this before and may never see it again!!! This made my day!! This probably sounds stupid, getting excited about seeing hatched snake eggs, but to me it's a beautiful thing!!! That's what the world is all about!! It's life, hidden life, happening all around us!!! I think, as humans, we sometimes have a bad case of tunnel-vision!!! We just see things that we feel are important to us only!!! We focus on ourselves and never realize the miracles and beauty that surrounds us, carresses us, 24 hours a day!!! "Stop and smell the roses", we've all heard it 1000 times, but it's true!!! Experience life, not just yours, but with all the other earthlings that we have the honor of sharing this planet!!!
