Hey guys, what's going on???? Well we have gotten the car we told you all about last week. What a creampuff!!! I forgot what it was like to drive a car that does all the things it's supposed to do!!! I actually took a couple of days to just feel the response and power of this automobile!!! If you need to pass its got plenty of engine. The air conditioner is ice cold, in Florida that's a good thing...LOL!!! I'm so fucking happy!!! I've taken critizism for getting what I've been told is an old mans car!!! First of all, why can't you be comfortable when you drive!! How do people enjoy driving all scrunched up in their cars!!! Secondly, and most people have a difficult time understanding this, we are from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. I know that means absolutly nothing to the vast majority of you, so I'll try to explain the best way I can. Bensonhurst was a VERY, VERY Italian neighborhood. Growing up there put you in contact with a whole bunch of Mafiosi or the Family!!! They were your neighbors, your friends even your relatives!! Everything we did growing up had there influence!!! My Grandmother on my mom's side ran numbers!! Web actually had a coming home from prison party for my next door neighbors brother!! By the way, we lived in a 12 family apartment house, so when I say next door I mean next door!!! This was the influence we grew up with!!! The mobsters never seemed like they worked. But they always wore nice clothes, had the prettiest babes and drove beautiful cars. These cars were always, and I mean always, Caddies or Lincolns!! It was a status symbol, it showed that you had arrived!! It made people notice you. Just driving in one made you feel like a somebody!! You knew when a young mobster got promoted or made a big score because the Chevy or Ford was now a Lincoln or Caddy!!! No secrets in my neighborhood!! My friends, and I, idolized These guys. They had all we wanted and we all wanted to be them!!! We got our first jobs from them. We ran errands for them. We just wanted to bask in there aura!! Sounds silly now that I'm 46 years old. Many of my childhood friends are dead or in jail for extended periods!!! Some are on the lam. I left New York and am in Florida, now!!! I just wanted to get away from the bad influences. Cathy and I am happy and have fun, but boy, do I miss the action!!!! Well, I've tried to explain, but don't think I did such a good job!! It's hard, sometimes, to put that type of strong emotion and influence on paper, to verbalize it!!! It's more of an internal thing, a deep seated feeling, part of your being, what you are and what made you who you are!!! By the way, for those who don't know, I bought a 1989 Lincoln Town Car!!! Very light silver blue with a dark blue leather interior!! Only 55,364 miles on it. Well maintained by a 86 year old resident at my place of employ!!! It looks like it drove out of the showroom last week!!! God, I'm so happy!!! It's like a connection to my roots...LOL!!!Sorry I rambled and got melancoly. First of all, I'm sorry about my depressing blog of the other day!!! It's a pretty wierd day for me, as I am sure you can understand!!! Well let's get a little upbeat!!! I bought a car today!!! I had a 1993 Pontiac Sunbird with 138,564 miles on it!!! what a piece of shit...LOL!!! Well, I now am the proud owner of a 1988 Lincoln Town Car, silver blue and in mint condition, from one of the residents of the retirement community that Cathy and I work at!!! It only has 55,324 miles on it!!!! I mean, It's barely broken in!!! Paid the paltry sum of $1200!!! What a car!!! I feel like real Mafiosi...LOL!!! Growing up in B'klyn, NY, it was the car that you were conditioned to want, well, that or a Cadillac!!! Cathy is so happy and that alone makes me feel good about the purchase!!! Wish us luck!!! Hey guys!!! Bill here today!!! Today is the date I can never forget!!! It's the 6th anniversary of Cathy and my car accident!!! Yep, March 5th,2ooo we had a head on collision with a truck!! It was my fault since I fell aslep at the wheel!!! Had been in NYC for a few days trying and fighting with doctors because my moms sister was dying and said they were going to put her on life support!!! She had made it clear to my sister, Melanie (I got to name her when she was born and named her after a girl I had a crush on in 1st grade) and myself that she wanted no outstanding methods to keep her alive!! She even had a DNR (do not resusitate) order but the doctor said she was not in sound mind when she had it drawm up (the bastard)!!! Well she lived and everything became moot!!! Went to the airport to fly back home in Florida, but plane problems had me waiting at the airport for 7 hours!!! As soon as I got home, I showered and went right to work!!! Promised Cathy I would take her out to dinner, since I had not seen her in 3 day!!! Picked her up and went to Cadillac Jacks on Treasure Island. We both had a few drinks and dinner!!! Met my friend Georganne there and we played some billiards!!! On the drive home I fell asleep at the wheel!! The road curved to the right, but I went straight!!! Head on with a truck!!! Cathy went through the windsheild and I was crushed inside the car!!! Indian Rocks Beach Fire and Rescue had to cut me out of the car!! They told me later that it took about 25 mins to extract me!!! Had a helicopter waiting for me and Cat to rush us to Bayfront Medical Center in St.Pete (a level 2 trauma unit)!!! Cathy was the lucky one. She had multiple laceration (I mean multiple!!!!!) a broken nose, fractured collarbone and a chipped verterbrae!!! She spent 4 days in the hospital!!! Initially they thought she was worse than me because she had been ejected, boy were they wrong!!! I was in very bad shape. I had a broken ankle, every one of my ribs was broken and had collapsed into my chest cavity, my lungs were crushed and had to have 2 chest tubes put in to regulate the pressure and try to re-inflate my lungs!! My liver was severly lacerated, I had bitten my lower lip off, I had torn the my lower face off of the mandible and had a hole in my chin that leaked for about a month after if I drank any fluids!!! I broke most of my teeth, but worst of all, my pelvis was completly shattered and was in 28 pieces!!! They gave Cathy no odds of me surviving the night!!! Told her the chance was slim, that others had come in with many less catastrophic injuries and died!! The only thing they did the first night was try to keep me alive!!! they told Cathy that if I made it through the first night I might have a chance!!! Phone calls were made and funeral arraingments finalized by my sister in New York!!! Well, needless to say, I made it!!! I was on life support for 14 days. I had 8 operation to piece me back together. After 18 days I was transferred to a nursing home and had to learn how to walk again (not something you want to do at the age of 40...LOL). They told us that I probably wouldn't walk for about 6 months and couldn't work for about a year!!! I told them not to make a time table for me because they didn't know me well enough!!! I walked out of the nursing home 7 weeks later, not very well, but I did walk!! The day I left, the whole staff of the nursing home stood outside and applauded!!! Lots of hugs, kisses and tears later I went home!!! I worked out like a madman with weights and walked in the sand at the beach to strengthen my leg (right leg)!!! On August, 16 I went back to work!!! That's only 5 months later!!! On my B-day (Aug,29) I bought a new car, figured that I had to get back on the horse...LOL!!! I walked with a cane for about a year and a half!! I feel good today, but do have some artheritis in my right hip!!! Needless to say, March 5th is now my birthday!!! It's the day that I was given a second chance at life, and I figured that I better not waste it!!! Sorry to cry on your shoulders, but every year I have this urge to tell my story, it's very cathartic!!! We love all of you, you are one of the reasons life is fun!!! Thanks for listening. Hey guys!!! Cathy and I just got done sitting naked in te backyard and taking a new batch of pics!!! Had some sex, also!!! Gotta get some sleep before we go to work this evening!!! I've been up since 9:30PM on Wednesday!!! I don't know, but I'm just not tired!!! Just finished scarfing down some awesome stuffed peppers that Cat made!!! Of course, had a few Icehouse beers to quench our thirst (Cat's favorite beer, see our new posts)!!! Played dart tourney last evening and did very well!! We won 9 of 13!!! Well, we are back!!! God, did we miss you guys!!! Been so busy with work and such!!! We haven't even had time to take any new pictures...how depressing!!! Hope all of you have been well and life has been good!!! We should be posting new pics in a few days!!! Darts tonight, hope we do good because it's been a tough season so far!!! Got pulled over by the Sherrif yesterday because my DL was suspended in NY in 1999!!! Got a few tickets and went to court!!! I've taken care of everything and am back in compliance but all of this for a 25 dollar processing fee in 1999!!! I mean, we moved out of NY in 1997!!! Well, by for now!! We are both happy to be back and we love you all, Cathy and Bill

Hey guys, Bill here!!! Just checking in. We both just got home from work, stopped for breakfast and a bank run. Well, of course, since it is our Friday night (off the next two) we decided to go to the "Depot" and have a few beers!!! Miller Lites all around...
LOL!!! Practiced some darts (I smoked her) for awhile!!! Rolled a few dubes and set up the camera (one never knows)!!! A shower is in the near future, as soon as I finish blog!!! I've been kicking around what to make for dinner!! I'm leaning toward fried Sunshine Perch with okra and grits!!! I think we've been living in the south too long...LOL!!! To all our brothers and sister in the northeast, we don't envy you guys right now!!! Good luck with the snow!!! If anyone has any dinner suggestions, please let me know, I love to cook!!! Well, two more nights of work until our weekend!!! I think our monthly visitor is ready to drop by uninvited and unwanted, again!!! Can anyone tell me how we can place pictures in our blog??? Would love to show you guys some of the places and things that we tell you about!!! Wondering if everyone is ready for the Olympics. I love the Winter Games because we get to see competitions that rarely get TV airtime!!! I think that's why I miss "Wide World Of Sports"!!! They showed everything!!! I haen't seen Barrel Jumping since they took that off the airwaves!!! Very popular in Florida...LOL!!! Cathy and I actually went to see Extreme Motorcycle Racing on Ice in Tampa!!! I noticed that we are getting close to the 1000 veiws mark!! We are both kind of shocked that so many people read this!!! Then again, we're shocked that people like our pictures!!! Hey guys, Cathy here!!! Bill just posted some more pics from our park shoot!!! I'm sitting here and looking at the response!!! I just want to say all of you make an old couple feel good about themselves...Thanks!!! Got another dart match this evening!!! The only bad thing about playing darts on a Thursday night is that we must go to work afterwards!!! Being in a bar and not being able to have an adult beverage is a bit like torture...LOL!!!
