Thursday, January 27, 2011, 2:00:35 AM- Karma....or being an asshole?
My brother, the one who is divorcing his cheating bitch of a wife, was going through some of the boxes we found in his attic when we moved him last weekend and found around 30 or so Polaroids of his soon to be ex-wife nude and having sex. They are pics he took when they first got married. So, he wants to know if I know of any sites on the internet that he can post them to after the divorce is final. LMAO.... It would be justice/revenge on the cheating skank, but IDK... She is the mother of his two boys, even though she's a selfish hateful bitch. One part of me wants to say "Go ahead. There are plenty of ex gf/revenge sites out there" and another part of me says it wouldn't be right. I'm just wondering which part will win this argument. LOL.

Saturday, January 22, 2011, 3:49:46 PM- Moving Sucks
So, my brother, the one who's getting a divorce, picked yesterday, the coldest fuking day of the year to move out. In the divorce papers the bitch got the house, which was fine by him as she has to pay him half the equity in it. LMAO Shortly after he'd caught her with his (supposed) best friend, she moved out while he was at work, and he came home to four bare walls. She left him nothing but his clothes, no furniture, no refrigerator, no stove, NOTHING. Six months later with the divorce nearly final, and them agreeing on the division of their assets, the judge signed off on her taking possession of the house when she coughed up her half of the equity in the home. Then, she shows up yesterday and wants to check everything we are loading to make sure we aren't taking anything of hers. WTF!! Everything in the house was either something he'd bought to replace the shit she took when she moved out, or something loaned/given to him by a family member so he wouldn't have to do without. She threw a fit when she saw the bedroom outfit, demanding that he give it to her and she would let him have the one she'd taken. I told the bitch to take a hike, it wasn't his to begin with, but mine and my wife's and he was borrowing it. It was an older, but still nice set, we had replaced and had in storage. She went a got some friends, one her new boyfriend, who showed back up and began causing some real problems. They threatened my brothers and I, all four of us and then almost shit when I pulled a pistol and ordered them off the place. They left, and said they'd be back with the cops. Too late, I'd already called them and my brother had called his lawyer. The funny thing was that another of our brother's was video taping the whole confrontation, so when they returned with a deputy and demanded my arrest, we showed him the tape. They ended up getting arrested. The guys for assault (for threatening us) and the bitch for contempt of court. Turns out the judge had ORDERED her to stay away until she got possession on Monday. When my brother's attorney called the judge and told him what had happened he issued a warrant for her arrest. ROFLMAO!! You should have seen her face when the cuffs went on her wrist. LMAO....Oh, and my youngest brother got THAT on video too. HAHAHAHAHAH!!! But the alternator quit on my truck, so it had to be towed to the house my brother is moving into. I put a battery charger on it and was able to drive it home on the battery alone, so today I get to replace the alternator.

A man wakes up in the hospital, bandaged from head to foot. The doctor comes in and says "Ah, I see you've regained consciousness. Now, you probably won't remember, but you were in a pile-up on the freeway. You're going to be okay, you'll walk again and everything, but... something happened. I'm trying to break this gently, but the fact is, your willy was chopped off in the wreck and we were unable to find it." The man groans, but the doctor goes on "You've got $9000 in insurance compensation coming and we have the technology now to build you a new willy that will work as well as your old one did - better in fact! But the thing is it doesn't come cheap. It's $1000 an inch." The man perks up at this. "So," the doctor says, "It's for you to decide how many inches you want. But it's something you'd better discuss with your wife. I mean, if you had a five inch one before and you decide to go for a nine incher she might be a bit put out. But if you had a nine inch one before, and you decide only to invest in a five incher this time, she might be disappointed. So it's important that she plays a role in helping you make the decision." The man agrees to talk with his wife. The doctor comes back the next day. "So," says the doctor, "have you spoken with your wife?" "I have," says the man. "And what is the decision?" asks the doctor. "We're getting granite countertops." Says the man.

Thursday, January 20, 2011, 1:26:36 AM- Here we go again.
Well, it seems that following the shootings in Arizona some of our brighter minds have come up with the idea to limit the magazine capacity of firearms and ban the sale of extended magazines. Ooookay. Uh, didn't we try that once before? It was called the Brady Bill, and even the anti-gunners admitted it didn't do a damned thing to reduce gun crimes. That's why after it expired there was no push to renew it, because it didn't work. But, since we want a "feel good" measure, some symbolic gesture that we are doing something to prevent a tragedy like this from ever occurring again, what the hell, why not? *rollseyes* First, the problem here was not the guns, or the fact that he had guns. The problem was the shooter was a nutcase, and folks, you can pass all the laws against mental illness you want, but it isn't going to do a damned bit of good. I mean, would it have made any difference if he'd used a machete instead of a gun? Not really, in my opinion. You'd still have a bunch of dead and wounded people. But, since it's obviously the gun's fault... Yeah, okay, enough of that. LOL I figured I'd post it here instead of stirring shit in the forums. Ya'll have a nice day.

Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 4:35:18 AM- And The Word Of The Day Is...
Schadenfreude Schadenfreude is pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others. This German word is used as a loanword in English and some other languages, and has been calqued in Danish and Norwegian as skadefryd and Swedish as skadeglädje. A New York Times article in 2002 cited a number of scientific studies of schadenfreude, which it defined as "delighting in others' misfortune." Many such studies are based on social comparison theory, the idea that when people around us have bad luck, we look better to ourselves. Other researchers have found that people with low self-esteem are more likely to feel schadenfreude than are people who have high self-esteem. Copied from www.ehowa.com, but I thought it most appropriate for some reason.

I won a couple of free Domino's pizza's from a radio station contest the other day. I call up the local Domino's and tell them what I want on my free pizzas. No problem they say, be there in 30 minutes. Oh, sorry the guy says, I have to charge a $2.00 delivery fee, is that okay? ???????? So I tell him no, it's not, cause free is free right? HAHAHAHA!! Actually, I didn't, but I wanted too so bad. LOL Update...My uncle, the one hurt in the big bang, is doing wonderful. He stopped by the other night and had supper with us, and besides his lips, he's healed up unbelievably well. He had skin grafts on both arms and both knees, but got lucky and didn't need any on his face. His lips are still pretty sore, but are a lot better. He may be able to go back to work in two weeks. Did you know that getting burned on the face, as long as it isn't severe, has the same result as a face lift? Me either, but it does. He's sixty two, and other than a slight redness to the skin, looks like he's twenty in the face. Nice tight skin, no wrinkles. He said it wasn't worth it though.

Sunday, January 9, 2011, 1:45:04 AM- I hate nursing homes...
They always feel like warehouses for the dying to me. I drove my wife, her mother, and her grandparents two hours away to visit her grandmother's last living sister. A once vivacious funny woman who has been reduced to a shell of the woman she was by what the doctors call a serious of "mini strokes" over the last five years. The last time we went to see her she didn't even know any of us, and it had been three weeks, so I was dreading seeing her like that to begin with. Maybe it's selfish of me, but I'd rather remember her laughing and joking and teasing my wife and I than sitting in a chair drooling. When we arrived I was shocked. Her face lit up when I walked into the room (I was the first one in) and she said with a twinkle in her eye "Where's Little Bit?" (Her nickname for my wife) I almost cried to see the woman I'd known for twenty years back and going strong. For four hours we laughed and joked, she told stories on Grandma and Grandma told stories on her. It was like someone had turned the clock back five years. Whoever is responsible for that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. She started getting tired so we said our goodbyes and left, with her laughter at something my wife said to her ringing in our ears. We saw her doctor and he warned us that this seeming miracle recovery shouldn't get our hopes up. He said in his experience this isn't unusual right before the end in some patients. If he's right, she'll be in a better place and we'll always remember our visit with her today, wonderful memories of her laughter and smile. As we walked out of there I said a silent prayer that when my time comes I go quick. Amen.

*COUGH COUGH HACK HACK* DAMN IT SHEEPIE!!!!!!!!!! Don't know what bug I caught but I feel like shit. I've been making it to work, barely, and as soon as I get home I eat something and crash. I slept ten hours last night, which is twice what I normally get. I'm actually feeling a bit better today, AND I have the day off PAID. Of course, that might be why I'm feeling better, since this is the start of a four day weekend. So, did I miss anything exciting? For those of you wondering, my uncle is home now, and doing okay. Still in some pain of course, especially on the days the visiting nurse comes and changes his bandages, complete with scrubbing the wounds underneath. YIKES! He's expected to recover fully, it's just going to take time. Thanks you all for your support during this time.

Saturday, December 25, 2010, 5:17:38 AM- Merry Christmas
We had my side of the family, all 30 of us, together at our house for Christmas today. They started arriving around noon, and by three everyone was here, along with a couple of inches of snow. It's my favorite part of the holidays, getting everyone together in one place and just hanging out, eating until we're sick, and having a grand ole' time. Tomorrow it's off to the wife's grandparents house, where we'll be grateful for one more Christmas with them. (They're both pushing 90 pretty hard.) Then Sunday, we'll go to my inlaws after I get off work, and have Christmas there. *UPDATE* My uncle's breathing tube was removed yesterday, and he is able to speak now at least. He had skin grafts and a feeding tube put in the day before, and is doing very well. He's still having some difficulty breathing, but the docs said he'll be fine eventually. He told us how the accident happened, and says it was just one of those things, and that it might have even been his fault. However, the family is beginning to wonder as the place where he worked has told all employees if they discuss it with anyone they will be fired. Yesterday they also refused entry to a OSHA inspector who had interviewed my uncle and was there to look at the scene. They will have repairs done by Monday, and told him he could come back then. He threatened to shut the whole plant down, and finally ended up leaving with the parts of the machinery that were damaged in the explosion. They'd already installed new ones, and had thrown the old ones away, luckily he thought to check the dumpsters. It makes us wonder what they are hiding, yet my Uncle says it wasn't anyones fault, mostly his if anything. I guess time will tell. I know they are afraid of a law suit in the future, but if they are worried about that they don't know my Uncle very well. If he thinks it wasn't his employers fault, he wont sue. But, by acting like they are suspicions have been planted in our minds, and his. I guess time will tell.
