I am going to have to learn how to relax. I went out to the porch in the early AM to drink some coffee and listen to the world wake up. Before I knew it I was going back in with my arm sore and my hands tired and covered in wood chips LOL.
I need to learn how to relax from relaxing!
No fancy step by step on this one. Just a before and after.

Can you tell where I was sitting?

Well I like to kick back...relaxed like ... and doodle sometimes. As I am sure all of you know. This doodle I drew up this morning. Had to take a pic right away!!

I accidentally deleted my first blog and lost all my comments what a moron move that was!!!!!!

I really wanted to play in this challenge but I just couldn't find the time. So I managed to dig up some pics that are REAL.... I PROMISE! I just figure that you would like to see something when you got here

Back when tight wet lips and I met up we took a couple pics as well. She posted them but for some reason she decided to crop me out of them!!!!!!! So I thought I would show you the original,uncropped pictures for the first time.
First one was us in her bed

Then afterwards we ended up in the tub... trust me it is deeper than it looks

Spent some time on the porch this morning in the cool morning air and felt like doing some carving. So I put on some Michael Hedges and found a piece of bark to work on...

Split off a piece....

Laid out my tools...

Started taking some shape...

And working the piece down..



Made some chips at my feet ...

Setting things down and looking at my handy work ...

A red oak and a white oak in mutual embrace . Imagine... a kiss that lasts for a century....

A new piece I worked on last Sunday. After the design was done I colored the back ground with earth tone water colors.

Oh and as a side note- the man tried to sue him and the judge threw it out saying he had it coming to him.

I am out of town at a music festival...

But it is at a renaissance festival fairgrounds. Beautiful place and wonderful scenery and amazing music. But it looks more in this theme...
