Made this today. Salmon salad with dill and cilantro. On a whole wheat pita bread with delicious Campari tomatoes and romaine lettuce.


Also , for those that read this far I even posted a pic ... I know I am a wild man today.

I have some new tools(read "toys" to work (read play) with.
A Robin Wood carving ax. Super razor sharp and beautifully crafted. The handle is made to easily be utilized for carving and roughing out wood blanks.
A Mora knife(the straight bladed) Wonderfully made and beautiful to hold. Sliced through wood like butter.
A Robin Wood #1 hook knife( I think you can figure out which one that is lol) The handle is made from some spalted wood. Stunning to look at and lovely to hold.


Oh, did I mention they are razor sharp??

I love how the people from the past made such delicious foods!
Then again.... they didn't always hit the mark ! Check out these disasters LOL.... Makes you kind of glad we live today in some ways LOL

The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us—that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion—that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain—that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom—and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.



Dedication of Gettysburg as a Soldiers National cemetery. Lincoln was the one who also dedicated Decoration Day , later to become Memorial Day.
Truer and more heartfelt words can not be spoken.
